i would say it's a bit harder but with an acoustic that plays well not too much harder. JM has an acoustic version of it that is killer - all the best with your music!
i can just speak from what i do which is just keep on it everyday and the parts seem to settle in and become less mechanical and more musical - all the best with your music!
Hey man this is awesome. I always try to find tabs for John Mayer songs and I can never find legit ones. I reaaalllly really really like how you go off of the "Where the light is" album. That is by far John's best performance, and the guitar playing is wild. Thanks again man keep it up.
that is what I'm doing but kind of subtle - a lot of feel needed and I think don't get too caught up in an exact interpretation - JM doesn't play it the same way every time. Thanks for your kind words and all the best with your music!
I really appreciate all the detailed song lessons. I've learned vultures and waiting on the world to change, now I'm trying to tackle this one. They're really easy to follow and are a huge huge help. I love all the John Mayer lessons. I've seen him in concert twice and love his playing style. Keep up the good work!
hello Pat, thanks for taking your time to check out the video and i appreciate your kind feedback. This may be my all-time fave JM tune - i hope you enjoy working it up - your friend,
Thanks so much for making this video, it helped me out in getting the song down and now i can really play the whole song! Your a great musician and i plan on watching and learning from you again in the future, so thanks again!!
hello Jack, hope you are doing well sir! JM songs are always a challenge for me but so very cool....thanks for watching the video and all the best with your music!
Lol - I think that goes both ways - I could learn so much from you - I'm a BIG fan of your playing! SCC is fortunate to have you onboard....you keep us old guys inspired!!!
Dale-- I just missed his concert in St. Louis. Glad you got to see it. Another great lesson. I'm having a hard time keeping up with you during this Holy Week. Need to practice my worship stuff first. Guess I'll have the weekend to catch up. 5 stars!
hello Chris, it was our 1st time to see him live and it was all i had hoped for......and more. The girl screaming i could have done without....especially being right behind me!
thanks for your kind post - have a blessed weekend!
Dale, You always bring a fresh approach to the music you cover. It opens up so many ideas. Awesome lesson. I think anyone who plays the guitar well understands the level of talent Mayer has. We might get in trouble for admitting it though.
i agree - IMO he is one of today's pure artist - writer/singer/player/performer and does each very well to say the least. I'm personally thankful for his music - it is inspirational to this aging fat boy!
appreciate you kind words and i hope you are doing well sir!
he gets a lot of press both good and not so good - but when he plugs the guitar in for me he is something special. His acoustic playing is just unreal - thanks for all of your kindness to keep in touch - your friend,
Hey Dale, How was the concert? This is my favorite JM song. Haven't tried to play it yet but now that I have one of the best teachers showing me, it's time!
wow awesome! thank you for this. I could never get the slide after the A right but this sounds spot on. Can't wait to jam to this on my looper!
