You know what the funny thing is, country's with more Atheists have fewer problems with crime like Sweden but in America it is a Christian nation but there is a shit amount more of crime.
Hard not to notice that most all those shootings are across the bible belt, where people are obviously deprived of the influence of jesus in their lives.
Your god must really be a weak, powerless being if he isn't "allowed" to enter school. He is apparently on the same status as a vampire, who everyone knows can't enter unless invited. Next thing you know, the Tooth Fairy won't be welcome in school and there will be shootings in dentist's offices everywhere.
I have a question for all those Christians out there. How can God be good? If God is the creator of good and evil, and he determines what good and evil are, then how could he be either? What if he decided that he liked killing? Would that make killing good?
Christians say that good is what God wills. But then they turn around and say that God is good. Essentially, saying "God is good" is the same as saying "God wills what he wills."
What Jefferson was referring to was that the government could not hijack or create their own religion to rule the people with. A quick look back into history shows how the Inquisitions (basically the government taking control of the peoples church and dictating and punishing through the politicians eyes and not the Laws of GOD).
Maybe not all the founding fathers were christians but all of them followed the morals of the bible. As was read in this video, you can not call this a rebuttal !, separation from state and church was not meant the way you would like it to be, sorry! I find it amazing that the people who say they don't believe in God alway have to use profane language, why is that anyway???? maybe at a loss for words....

You shouldn't spank your children when they misbehave, because they're armed. Someone in the NRA interprets a civilian militia as meaning everyone should have guns, and you get school shootings. Interesting how this direct link gets skated over by the makers of the original video.
Oh shit!! Please excuse these postes of mine. Somehow they did not get aranged in the order I'de intended ( Oh this goddamn character limit! ). I hope that you can still make sense out of them none the less.
And the remnant were slain with the sword wich procedeth from the mouth of the one seated upon the throne and all the fowls were filld with their flesh.
Revelation 19;17
And I ( God ) shall cause them to eat the flesh of their daughters, and the flesh of their sons, and they will eat everyone the flesh of his friend. And they that seek their lives shall straighten them!!
Those who worship the Beast and his image shall be tormented by brimstone and fire before all the saints and in the sight of the Holy Lamb! And the smoulder of their torment shall ascendeth up forever and ever, and they shall have no rest neither day nor night!
Revelation 14;10
Now, hows THAT for violent, sadistic and gruesome aye? I must say, that certainly beats anything that I've ever seen in any horror movie.
Yes, violent entertainment. Of course, let's just ignore the fact that some of the most violent and gruesome stories of all come from The Bible itself. I'le even cite some examples here to prove it...........
And the spirit of the Lord came mightily upon Sampson and the cords ( thats muscles ) in his arms became as flaux burnt with fire. And he found a jawbone of an ass, and pute forth his hand and took it, and slew a thousand Phillistines therewith. And Sampson said "With the jawbone of an ass have I slain a thousand men,...heaps upon heaps!!"
( Hey, ya know, this Sampsons kinda like Rambo or Schwarzeneger is'nt he? Only, unstead of wasting gooks and Ruskies with an uzi machine gun, he slaughters 1000 of these Phillistines with a jawbone. )
For Beholod, the Lord shall come with fire and with his chariots, like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury and his rebuke with flames of fire, and the slain of the Lord shall be many.
David ran and stood upon the Phillistine, and drew his sword from the sheath thereof and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And the men of Israel and Judah pursued the Phillistines and they spoild their tents ( comited theft ). And David took the head of the Phillistine and brought it to Jeruselum.
You are correct about the letter from T Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist. However, you take it out of context. Jefferson saud the State would not interfere with Religion. He did NOT say that Religion had to get out of the State.
evilsinz, have you ever visited Wahington DC and seen the buildings and memorials? There is scripture etched all over them. Our founding fathers were Christian religious men. God blessed this country abundantly because we gave to Him all glory. We have fallen from that course and are now reaping the negative effects of doing that.
dude you are so wrong its unbelievable. have you actually read anything about our founding fathers. most of them were deists. in fact i know benjamin franklin and jerfferson despised christianity. they even have a few quotes that say so. please be my guest. look it up. but then again you dont wanna know the truth.
I know you won't agree with me, but right is right whether you want to believe it or not. There ARE absolute truths in this world. Some things are inherently right, and some things are inherently wrong. Denying the truth does not make it any less the thruth.
That's nearly right - might is right whether you want to believe it or not. What is etched all over America is violence. And I don't quite understand how any non-existent deity would have withdrawn his patronage seeing as how the US has unparalleled levels of prosperity, and much less violence and hardship than the past. There ARE absolute truths, and one of them is that there is no god.
The Narrow and Wide Gates 13"Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
Oh yeah, and our children are turning into killers because christians tell them its ok to hate anyone whose different, and that war is ok as long as the people you kill look different and worship a different god, and that you have to stomp out any idea that isnt the same as yours. Thats how christian ideals turn into children making fun of each other for being different, the gay kid being beaten to death, and finally war, and death.
I never said christianity told anyone to do those things. I said christian ideals lead to these things, which is true. I mean christian in general, because I realize there are alot of liberal christians who arent threatened by gays, etc. But when the evangelicals make up a quarter of the population, christianity in general isnt such a great thing.
Christians rule over 1/6 of the entire world. But no, thats not enough for them, they need to claim that they're being attacked so they have a good reason to try and get rid of the tiny little percentage of people who have different ideas. Well, when an army of 1 billion people claims they're being attacked, you have to ask yourself, "by who?". Because I don't see any army of non-christians that will ever be larger than 1 billion, thats just completely fucking ridiculous, an outright lie!!!
most of these comments by really dumb kids, go to or stay in school and while your their learn something, pay attention to your instructor, and read some good history books.......... you might just learn
All the worlds problems should not be blamed on christians, just all of Americas. Christianity is the root cause for hatred, racism, voilence, murder, you name it. And why? you can allways get forgiveness.
The good news christianity in in the finals days, the church will not be able to sustain its practise of greed with so many in debt.
And they want to blame the Christians for all the worlds problems. Look at what the left is doing to Christians, can't pray in School, can't have the 10 Commandments in public places, want to take "Under God" out of the pledge, destroying the sancity of marriage between a man and a woman, can't teach Creation in schools. So why is everyone oh, blame the Christians? Where are we going and why are we in this handbasket?
bigrobmjca is a classic example of a "feel sorry for me because I'm not allowed to persecute other people as much anymore" Christian. Well too bad it's not 200 years ago and you're not still allowed to burn me at the stake, a-hole! You guys are the real satanists. I'll just go about my whole not-believing-in-nonsense and instead believing in things like love and freedom, without fear of being stoned to death becasue we actually have laws now protecting us from you propaganda spreading nuts!
Oh, so you want to blame every single problem in the world on Christians? Is it a crime to stand by what you believe? I will stand up for God even if I stand alone.
I'm not blaming every single problem in the world on the Christians. But I can certainly blame it on the people who specifically made religion for the purpose of controlling and tormenting the entire planet. Please stop with your inferiority complex and void guilt tactics. It IS a crime to stand by what you believe if it persecutes others. I don't care how righteous you think you are.
I stand by peace, love and tolorance, even if I stand alone.
(that was in reply to bigrobmjca) and I only blamed things on Christians that they are DIRECTLY responsible for, like burning people like me at the stake.
Bigrobmjca: Really, give it up. You're in the wrong, and currying sympathy for your pet cause won't make you right.
"Under god" was never even IN the pledge. Some sly zealot took it upon himself to have it supplant the original and far superior "INDIVISIBLE". So what, you want to force people to make a pledge to god? Well to hell with you, preacher.
As for your harping about being "Blamed for every problem in the world"- That is the sure sign of a: WANKER.
seriously dude, the under god in the pledge was added in the 1950's by a sect of catholics in the united atates in response to communism in russia. it was never in the original pledge of allegiance and should be taken out. ur a fucking retard. excuse my language and go read a fucking book. learn your history before iopeneing your mouth. not sure bu have you heard of the inquisition. type that into google. see what happens when christians try to take over the world.
Yeah the Puritans. By the way, THEY happen to be the people to who'm they'r refering when they say that this country was "founded on God and The Bible" !
and Bowmaj21 - It's not that children have no respect for authority, it's that authority has no respect for children. Respect has to be mutual. It's well proven in schools that children are far more respectful of teachers who are compassionate and respectful towards them in the first place.
Monkey see, monkey do. If you respect someone in the first place, especially a child, the chances of them respecting you back is exponentially multiplied.
the people who did the original video that this guy is rippin on, are idiots. come on, prayer was taken out of school so that children wouldnt be forced t accept the religion of the faculty and staff. but instead, they'd be able to form thier own beliefs, it keeps ids from becoming brainwashed.
and you cant seriousy blame all this stuff on that one single thing
Great! I would have liked to see some commentary on the obvious homophobic scapegoating of the ending, but this was great all-around. Jesus doesn't like school violence, of course, but since when did people decide the bullying isn't school violence. Maybe we need a better word than "bullying" to describe what the strong do to the weak, since it has a funny way of making the immoral excusable when used by callous loudmouths and hypocrites.
Oh yes, Jesus also stated what I believe is a Separation of Church and state so the term actually started with him. And this is what Jesus said and I believe it means separation of Church and State: "Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's (Or Government) and Give to God what is God's" It was said about tithes but I believe it means much more, that Church should not get involved with Government.Thats My opinion.
whats your take on evolution? I dont agree with the idea of fundementalists using the bible as a science book, shit look at all the fosels we have. I'm openminded that good could have sparked the prosess of evolution and let nature take its corse. I also dont like how they say that our biological insticts are conseterd immoral.
I am a Christian and I agree with you that this is the biggest BS I have ever seen. God did not leave the schools he is still there and you can read your bible as long as it does not bother anyone else. My God these Fundamentalist Reconstructionist are trying to take over our Government and make us a Theocracy. Don't let it happen. For this reason. God does not want a Theocracy! Jesus gave only two commands, Love thy neighbor, and spread the gospel. Jesus did not say take over the goverment
The lack of God does not mean immorality, which is something many Christians simply can't comprehend. To call all kids these days consciousness is absolutely arrogant and condescending...
i never hear a Christian promoting putting the Beatitudes up in schools or anything...as a non-Christian, i would not complain if they were, simply because those are good qualities to live by. Blessed are the Merciful, Blessed are the Poor...why not put up somethign positive instead of putting up all these "Thou Shalt Nots?" sounds like religion is repressive to me...
5th option. He was a man who lived and preached peace who had his word distorted by egotistic politicians over the years to justify their own obsession with war and power. Strange how the most fervent xtians always seem to be the first to want to fight and go to war. Could it be that politicians use religion to coerce a populace into a certain frame of belief? Nahhh. The Bible is 100% true. USA USA USA USA!
The morality argument is so stupid... so do religious people believe that before moses got the 10 commandments the Jews were wondering around the desert killing each other and stealing from each other? Society had no foundation at all before the 10 commandments were given to moses?
I'm an atheist and i've never killed anyone, i've never had condoms or sex or anything. So this video is full of shit. Our moral sense comes from reason, not from scripture.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Atheists and most religious people are alike anyways. Both use the same weak shit to prove their points and get no where fast with it. Stupid video that shows nothing but the ignorance of the people who made it. Youve never pwnnn shit in your life buddy. Keep trying to use your Atheist views to seem smart. What we really need to worry about is our morals and the way that we treat each other. (which has nothing to do with religion or lack there of its just a scapegoat)
I'm still trying to wrap my head around how an all present being can be kicked out of anywhere. When fundies make statements like this they demean their own god.
my point by point spanking good, beating bad separation of church and state good free speech and religious freedom good child porn bad MILD censorship good raising your own kids with good values and morals good balming others for the bad raising of your kids bad independent pro choice good (at age 21) good condoms good (face it they'd do it anyway) blaming god's absents on horriable past occurance bad working to right the world good
hi blackavar41, this is johnnie. can i say something? if you were to go to hell, please do not think that you will get some kind of revenge, or that you will show someone thier lesson... the moment you step over into the other side into hell, your mother, your father, everyone you know who believes in Christ will stand to thier feet and give GOD a standing ovation for getting rid of the likes of you.
You are one of the biggest hypocrites I have ever met. That is perhaps the most unchristian thing a person could say. And yet you call yourself a warrior of christ, doing it in his name. Johnie, you are not a warrior, you are a savage.
If GOD has a plan, then why are you christians complaining all the time about everything? Your god chose me to not believe in him. All part of the plan, baby.
lol ur retarted well if u believe im goin to rot in the ground then well no bad no good hmmm well id rather believe in something that is good and i live eternaly after death in heaven than just rotting in the ground so good day to you bitch
Some forms of faith were kicked out, not God. God is sovereign, BUT it is us who kick Him out of our minds, our hearts, we don't even think about Him, or care, we want Him only at our own convience, and that is the problem... God isn't prescious, what we want is precious...
Did it ever occur to you that maybe, just maybe, people who lack belief in the christian deity do so because they find no reason to believe in him? Or maybe because the bible simply makes no sense? Did you kick Allah, Zeus and Thor out of your mind and heart and other such pseudo-poetic bullshit?
i dun think there shud be religion in public schools! because would you like a scientist teaching in a church?? NO! catholics arent the best!!! I GO TO CATHOLIC SCHOOL and you should see what they put in the text books! they made a chart to see who was closer to god and catholics were AT THE TOP! it was trash!
No one gives a fuck about god's gender. Or they shouldn't. it's irrelevant. As far as I'm concerened, god doesn't exist. And if God DID exist, God would be an "it"
God does exist. You know you can walk around holding your breath for as long as you can, but sooner or later reality is going to set in. you are going to come to grips with reality that you can't breathe, and sooner or later you will have to gasp for what your can't see...
You gasp for breath because it is a natural response and a survival instinct due to evolution. God has nothing to do with survival or natural response but a divorce from all of that to believe something outside of all senses. Brainwashing solidifies the rest of religion.
I did once believe in god. And only when I did, did I feel like I was suffocating. He was there to hold me up like a crutch, when the answer was not easy to find. Now, you may ask why I then gave up something as helpful as that. The answer: a crutch makes once weak. If you keep it too long, you will become reliant on it, becoming only strong enough to use the crutch itself. You find yourself unable to go mentally wherever you want, because you know that it won't let you.
But I decided for myself that I would walk on my own, going wherever I wanted, finding the answers to life on my own. Sure, there will still be places I can't reach because I am to small, but I still will strive to find the answer on my own, and I will eventually get around it.
it is the same God that Jews and Christians believe in.
i do not believe in God, maybe if everyone was a bit smarter and knew as much about their religions as i do then they wouldnt believe in something so ludicrous.
i think NOBODY should listen to anyting that somebody named POT HEAD PUNDIT has to say. all pot heads talk about is how the government is trying to keep him down and blah blah.
our country was FOUNDED UNDER GOD! not just the church, or just the state, but EVERYTHING."one nation under God" is what "the founding fathers" wrote.and it WAS the christian God.read up on your history.look it up on the net.(founding fathers and christianity".if anyone disagrees that our country is goin down the toilet, then he is either blind, or a POT HEAD PUNDIT, prolly both..
"one nation under God" is what "the founding fathers" wrote"
You blathering moron, that wording is from the Pledge of Allegiance which was written in 1892 by Francis Bellamy, who consequently was socialist. The words "under God" weren't added until the 1950's.
It is ironic that you accuse the founding fathers of taking prayer out of school-when they themselves said a prayer before every session of congress and referenced the creator in the declaration of independence
"A generic creator, not the Christian God."-did I ever say that they referenced the Christian God.The point was that they believed in religion and the concept of god in Government.
Did I ever say that we should base the law around the Bible or the Koran? I was just making the point that had they intended to remove prayer from school:it would be a great deal of hypocrisy on their part considering they themselves said a prayer before every session of congress and have records of a God in their official documents
"did I ever say that they referenced the Christian God."
You most certainly did. The said they mentioned "the creator", which is specific, not generic.
"The point was that they believed in religion and the concept of god in Government."
What kind of a moron are you? How can you miss the most important concepts in our nation's genesis? The whole basis of our government is to keep the government out of the church, and vice versa.
That was the point I was saying.I said the creator was generic-You seem to think the "creator" only refers to the christian god.
"The whole basis of our government is to keep the government out of the church, and vice versa."-I agree with you.The government was not supposed to establish a religion.Prayer in school is totally separate. If the founding fathers wanted to keep prayer out of government-they would not have prayed before every session of congress.
"So you say school doesn't equal government-So this means separation of church and state and prayer in school are separate issues."
Nope. Here's the difference: prayer isn't forced on members of Congress, who are adults who make their own decisions. Forcing prayer in public schools on minor children is an entirely different issue. The additional question arises of who gets prayed to in your wished for public school prayer? "God", Shiva, Satan, Me?
Another thing-Many of the schools which prayer was removed from had nonsectarian prayers (ie referencing a generic god and not a Christian one)-but they said they should remove it because the prayers said there was a god(no matter how generic or nonsectarian that god is)-but our declaration of independence states there is a generic god- should we ban that too?
"Many of the schools which prayer was removed from had nonsectarian prayers (ie referencing a generic god and not a Christian one)-but they said they should remove it because the prayers said there was a god"
Newflash! Atheists rights are protected too.
"but our declaration of independence states there is a generic god- should we ban that too? "
The Declaration of Independance has absolutely no bearing on the laws of the U.S.
"The Declaration of Independance has absolutely no bearing on the laws of the U.S."-Yes it has no bearing but it is a declaration of the principles that founded America and of the principles of the founding fathers. And if the document mentions God ..well doesn't that say something.
"Yes it has no bearing but it is a declaration of the principles that founded America"
It is simply a historical document, albeit an important one. The Magna Carta offers more weight on our laws than does the "Declaration".
"And if the document mentions God ..well doesn't that say something."
WTF, are you insane? I already established that the Declaration mentions a generic creator, not the proper noun God, inferring the Christian one, and you agreed.
Oh Im sorry about the God-god thing. However , I agree that the founding fathers wanted separation of church and state. But i think the separation was to stop the creation of a new "Church of England"(which persecuted the puritans).I do not think the founding fathers were referring to things like prayer in schools.
I understand that things change and perhaps it is fair that prayer be taken out schools but I hate it when these jacks allege it is what the founding fathers would do
"But i think the separation was to stop the creation of a new "Church of England"
Exactly.
"I do not think the founding fathers were referring to things like prayer in schools."
Probably not. However, adhering to the amendment in one form (no "state" church), requires adherence in other ways (no school prayer). It's too bad you can't see how similar the two concepts are.
I honestly do not see the parallel between the state church persecuting heretics and Puritans and children praying in school. The amendment forbids establishment of religion.Prayer in schools does not equate to establishing a religion.
"The amendment forbids establishment of religion.Prayer in schools does not equate to establishing a religion."
In order for it NOT to violate the "establishment clause" EVERY religion and/or deity would have to be included in the prayer. Do you really want all the little children participating in a prayer to Shiva, or Satan, for that matter?
Let me point out that prayer in schools is not a recent practice(it was around in the 18th century)-i.e. It was going on in the time of the founding fathers. Why did they not try to remove it then? And the prayer in congress is state-sanctioned prayer also-why is this not a violation of the 1st amendment?
I never said that I wanted a strictly Christian prayer. All I said is I do not think that school prayer is a first amendment matter or a "founding fathers would have done so issues"
"All I said is I do not think that school prayer is a first amendment matter or a "founding fathers would have done so issues"
All you've done though, is show your ignorance of the issue because the legal history of school prayer demonstrates beyond any doubt that it is a First Amendment issue. Just because YOU think it isn't doesn't make it so.
Try reading Thomas Jefferson's (he was an early American politician FYI) letter to the Danbury Baptists. It addresses this issue directly. I believe it's also quoted in the video, at about 1:55.
You're right, it doesn't if you do it because atheists aren't claiming to be a "moral majority" like you christians are doing, but if christians are committing crimes and atrocities, there's really nothing significantly different between you people and the "vile, God-hating atheists", get it?
Obviously he didn´t mean ALL Christians - but of course some of the criminals must be Christians, don´t you think? According to The Federal Bureau of Prisons, approx. 84% of American inmates are Christian, so there...
Well, Jangsaverem, I don't care what either party said. My thoughts point to alaska, considering I'm born and raised here.
Bethel is a few hundred miles away from the place they indicated on the map. Where they're pointing at is north of a town called "fairbanks." Note, it's not actually fairbanks, it's the middle of nowhere north of fairbanks.
The original maker of this video doesn't deserve an opinion if they can't use a map.
-_- oops...uh if anyone actually cares...Read my last three backwards. I posted up the separate parts completely forgetting about the fact that its going to look retarded since it starts at the end.
Both parties (you and them) need and want to be right and will disregard and tear up ANY of the other sides views in place of their own until people just agree so everyone shuts up about the subject.
If people believe what ever "they" are saying then let them whats the big deal? Someone like you are simply seen as someone (yeah i know im so clever cause i say someone ((it was annoying in their video too though)) ) who makes arguments for the sake of arguing. Just as bad as most Psychology or Philosophy Majors in college tend to be.
Yeah but complaining and bitching then proceeding to blank out anything they say and trying to then prove that God doesn't exist is JUST AS BAD as what they do. They (or Someone...hehe)are trying to prove that God did everything and you are just trying to do the opposite but in both cases you both are trying to force an idea down other people's throats which in the end everyone hates.
I think that the original video may not be the best representation of how to get the Christian stance out; yet the altered video did not seem to understand or even respond to what the original was actually discussing. On top of that, two wrongs don't make a right, the altered video did not make any arguments but only criticized those who believe that way.
Im soory for jus' original response... DAMNING PEOPLE MAKES ALL CHRISTIANS LOOK IGNORANT AND JUDGEMENTAL. Please stop making us look bad. We cant win this "spiritual war" as you call it, by making enemys of those you are SUPPOSED to be saving.
You know what the funny thing is, country's with more Atheists have fewer problems with crime like Sweden but in America it is a Christian nation but there is a shit amount more of crime.

For Beholod, the Lord shall come with fire and with his chariots, like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury and his rebuke with flames of fire, and the slain of the Lord shall be many.
Isaiah 66;15

David ran and stood upon the Phillistine, and drew his sword from the sheath thereof and slew him, and cut off his head therewith. And the men of Israel and Judah pursued the Phillistines and they spoild their tents ( comited theft ). And David took the head of the Phillistine and brought it to Jeruselum.

You are correct about the letter from T Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist. However, you take it out of context. Jefferson saud the State would not interfere with Religion. He did NOT say that Religion had to get out of the State.
StepMonster 3 years ago
The state not interfering with religion doesn't mean it will sit idly by as religion takes the state over. The school IS part of the state.
Just like me saying I won't stop you from practicing your religion. But if you come to my house and try it, that's a different story.
evilsinz 3 years ago 3
evilsinz, have you ever visited Wahington DC and seen the buildings and memorials? There is scripture etched all over them. Our founding fathers were Christian religious men. God blessed this country abundantly because we gave to Him all glory. We have fallen from that course and are now reaping the negative effects of doing that.

dude you are so wrong its unbelievable. have you actually read anything about our founding fathers. most of them were deists. in fact i know benjamin franklin and jerfferson despised christianity. they even have a few quotes that say so. please be my guest. look it up. but then again you dont wanna know the truth.
britainmjames 2 years ago
I know you won't agree with me, but right is right whether you want to believe it or not. There ARE absolute truths in this world. Some things are inherently right, and some things are inherently wrong. Denying the truth does not make it any less the thruth.
StepMonster 3 years ago
That's nearly right - might is right whether you want to believe it or not. What is etched all over America is violence. And I don't quite understand how any non-existent deity would have withdrawn his patronage seeing as how the US has unparalleled levels of prosperity, and much less violence and hardship than the past. There ARE absolute truths, and one of them is that there is no god.

Oh yeah, and our children are turning into killers because christians tell them its ok to hate anyone whose different, and that war is ok as long as the people you kill look different and worship a different god, and that you have to stomp out any idea that isnt the same as yours. Thats how christian ideals turn into children making fun of each other for being different, the gay kid being beaten to death, and finally war, and death.
deepelmdesciple 3 years ago
dude ur an idiot. christianity doesnt say do any of those things. get ur facts straight.
thorjohnxyz56 2 years ago
I never said christianity told anyone to do those things. I said christian ideals lead to these things, which is true. I mean christian in general, because I realize there are alot of liberal christians who arent threatened by gays, etc. But when the evangelicals make up a quarter of the population, christianity in general isnt such a great thing.
deepelmdesciple 2 years ago
Christians rule over 1/6 of the entire world. But no, thats not enough for them, they need to claim that they're being attacked so they have a good reason to try and get rid of the tiny little percentage of people who have different ideas. Well, when an army of 1 billion people claims they're being attacked, you have to ask yourself, "by who?". Because I don't see any army of non-christians that will ever be larger than 1 billion, thats just completely fucking ridiculous, an outright lie!!!

So why is everyone oh, blame the Christians? Where are we going and why are we in this handbasket?

I'm not blaming every single problem in the world on the Christians. But I can certainly blame it on the people who specifically made religion for the purpose of controlling and tormenting the entire planet. Please stop with your inferiority complex and void guilt tactics. It IS a crime to stand by what you believe if it persecutes others. I don't care how righteous you think you are.
I stand by peace, love and tolorance, even if I stand alone.

The reason why children are out of control and killing people is obvious!
THEY HAVE NO RESPECT FOR AUTHORITY!!!
It has nothing to do with prayer in schools!
Bowmaj21 3 years ago
and Bowmaj21 - It's not that children have no respect for authority, it's that authority has no respect for children. Respect has to be mutual. It's well proven in schools that children are far more respectful of teachers who are compassionate and respectful towards them in the first place.
Monkey see, monkey do. If you respect someone in the first place, especially a child, the chances of them respecting you back is exponentially multiplied.
intentionalsound 3 years ago
the people who did the original video that this guy is rippin on, are idiots. come on, prayer was taken out of school so that children wouldnt be forced t accept the religion of the faculty and staff. but instead, they'd be able to form thier own beliefs, it keeps ids from becoming brainwashed.

And this is what Jesus said and I believe it means separation of Church and State: "Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's (Or Government) and Give to God what is God's" It was said about tithes but I believe it means much more, that Church should not get involved with Government.Thats My opinion.

warriorforchrist 4 years ago

Hump4us 4 years ago
But I decided for myself that I would walk on my own, going wherever I wanted, finding the answers to life on my own. Sure, there will still be places I can't reach because I am to small, but I still will strive to find the answer on my own, and I will eventually get around it.

It is entirely meaningless to argue that the founding fathers had any intention other than the separation of church and state.

Wrong, they reference A generic creator, not the Christian God.

wayofthemasturbator 4 years ago 2
Did I ever say that we should base the law around the Bible or the Koran? I was just making the point that had they intended to remove prayer from school:it would be a great deal of hypocrisy on their part considering they themselves said a prayer before every session of congress and have records of a God in their official documents
kornrocks999 4 years ago
"did I ever say that they referenced the Christian God."
You most certainly did. The said they mentioned "the creator", which is specific, not generic.
"The point was that they believed in religion and the concept of god in Government."
What kind of a moron are you? How can you miss the most important concepts in our nation's genesis? The whole basis of our government is to keep the government out of the church, and vice versa.
kaysandesses 4 years ago
That was the point I was saying.I said the creator was generic-You seem to think the "creator" only refers to the christian god.
"The whole basis of our government is to keep the government out of the church, and vice versa."-I agree with you.The government was not supposed to establish a religion.Prayer in school is totally separate. If the founding fathers wanted to keep prayer out of government-they would not have prayed before every session of congress.
kornrocks999 4 years ago
"You seem to think the "creator" only refers to the christian god."
You asserted that creator = Christian in the original post.
"Prayer in school is totally separate. If the founding fathers wanted to keep prayer out of government-"
You fucking idiot: "school" does equal government. If they hadn't wanted to keep gov & church separate the 1st amendment would be something else.
kaysandesses 4 years ago
"school" does equal government."
Should read "doesn't"...
kaysandesses 4 years ago
"You asserted that creator = Christian in the original post."-I never made any such assertion.
So you say school doesn't equal government-So this means separation of church and state and prayer in school are separate issues.(Just as I said)
kornrocks999 4 years ago
"So you say school doesn't equal government-So this means separation of church and state and prayer in school are separate issues."
Nope. Here's the difference: prayer isn't forced on members of Congress, who are adults who make their own decisions. Forcing prayer in public schools on minor children is an entirely different issue. The additional question arises of who gets prayed to in your wished for public school prayer? "God", Shiva, Satan, Me?
kaysandesses 4 years ago
Another thing-Many of the schools which prayer was removed from had nonsectarian prayers (ie referencing a generic god and not a Christian one)-but they said they should remove it because the prayers said there was a god(no matter how generic or nonsectarian that god is)-but our declaration of independence states there is a generic god- should we ban that too?
kornrocks999 4 years ago

"Yes it has no bearing but it is a declaration of the principles that founded America"
It is simply a historical document, albeit an important one. The Magna Carta offers more weight on our laws than does the "Declaration".
"And if the document mentions God ..well doesn't that say something."
WTF, are you insane? I already established that the Declaration mentions a generic creator, not the proper noun God, inferring the Christian one, and you agreed.
kaysandesses 4 years ago
Oh Im sorry about the God-god thing. However , I agree that the founding fathers wanted separation of church and state. But i think the separation was to stop the creation of a new "Church of England"(which persecuted the puritans).I do not think the founding fathers were referring to things like prayer in schools.

Exactly.
"I do not think the founding fathers were referring to things like prayer in schools."
Probably not. However, adhering to the amendment in one form (no "state" church), requires adherence in other ways (no school prayer). It's too bad you can't see how similar the two concepts are.
kaysandesses 4 years ago
I honestly do not see the parallel between the state church persecuting heretics and Puritans and children praying in school. The amendment forbids establishment of religion.Prayer in schools does not equate to establishing a religion.
kornrocks999 4 years ago
"The amendment forbids establishment of religion.Prayer in schools does not equate to establishing a religion."
In order for it NOT to violate the "establishment clause" EVERY religion and/or deity would have to be included in the prayer. Do you really want all the little children participating in a prayer to Shiva, or Satan, for that matter?
kaysandesses 4 years ago
Let me point out that prayer in schools is not a recent practice(it was around in the 18th century)-i.e. It was going on in the time of the founding fathers. Why did they not try to remove it then? And the prayer in congress is state-sanctioned prayer also-why is this not a violation of the 1st amendment?
kornrocks999 4 years ago
"prayer in schools is not a recent practice"
Prayer in school isn't illegal. Any student can still pray as long as it is "nondisruptive". Sanctioned, organized prayer is illegal.
"Why did they not try to remove it then?"
I don't know, and I don't care.
"why is this not a violation of the 1st amendment? "
Go and read the Supreme Court decision re: Murray v Curtlett.

What if the prayer was a nonsectarian prayer (to the same generic god referenced in the declaration of Independence)?

It's still a problem because then a devout Christian will be pissed because they don't mention Jesus, a Hindu, Moslem, Jew, etc. for the same reason.
Why mince words, I can't believe you would want anything other than a strictly Christian prayer.
Nevertheless, schools are to learn in, not to pray in.

By the way, someone should remind these assholes that there are significantly more fundamentalist Christians in jail than atheists (per capita).

Name 1 fundamentalist in jail-such a stupid statement
kornrocks999 4 years ago
Paul Hill.
No wait, he got executed.
Actually, what's stupid is that you think that not 1 fundamentalist christian is in jail.

I could name atheists-like Pol pot-who were imprisoned-it does not prove anything
kornrocks999 4 years ago
"it does not prove anything"
You're right, it doesn't if you do it because atheists aren't claiming to be a "moral majority" like you christians are doing, but if christians are committing crimes and atrocities, there's really nothing significantly different between you people and the "vile, God-hating atheists", get it?
wayofthemasturbator 4 years ago
"christians are committing crimes and atrocies"
-not really .Just some fundamentalists.
facilisdescenus 4 years ago

Jangsaverem 4 years ago
Both parties (you and them) need and want to be right and will disregard and tear up ANY of the other sides views in place of their own until people just agree so everyone shuts up about the subject.
You simply add to the problem in all reality.

Jangsaverem 4 years ago
Yeah but complaining and bitching then proceeding to blank out anything they say and trying to then prove that God doesn't exist is JUST AS BAD as what they do. They (or Someone...hehe)are trying to prove that God did everything and you are just trying to do the opposite but in both cases you both are trying to force an idea down other people's throats which in the end everyone hates.

You gotta be more open on your one sided videos

Dear God: Why didn't you stop all those professional Christian leaders from molesting so many little kids?
MajorBilly 4 years ago 5
I think that the original video may not be the best representation of how to get the Christian stance out; yet the altered video did not seem to understand or even respond to what the original was actually discussing. On top of that, two wrongs don't make a right, the altered video did not make any arguments but only criticized those who believe that way.

stereotypes!
