Adding 0 does nothing, general example: n + 0 = n.

Adding five yields always a wrong answer.

You are multiplying by 5. Or, like Coundoner said, dividing by two then multiplying by 10.

The reason people find math so hard is because of misused vocabulary, such as that displayed in this video. Don't confuse these fucks and tell them something important. Read a book on Vedic Mathematics. Then tell us what you've learned.

It's easier to do by adding a zero to start with, and then dividing by 2. That way there is never not a whole number.
