for those who want to use it for xp gain the best solution i have found is to go to a multi fight quest, like the diner, and run through it with mega damage. then when your bar is filled a reasonable amount of "gained xp" for the quest... kill the monster and when its black and exploded hit the max xp to jump the bar up.

used this to get from lvl 23 to 24 in VERY few battles, at least by comparison.
