Last time i checked in High School 9 years ago my governement teacher told me that we left the gold standard for the backing of the american dollar, and it was now a full faith in credit. To makes US bonds attractive + finance the deficit, treasury will have no choice but to issue more debts just to keep the yield competitive. Who's paying for it? Taxpayer + inflation (tax too).

I think whats great about this debate is you have the other 5 candidates almost ganging up on Ron Paul, so theres a very clear distinction here that Paul has very different ideas to the others, and that can only be a good thing.

Last time i checked in High School 9 years ago my governement teacher told me that we left the gold standard for the backing of the american dollar, and it was now a full faith in credit. Its by design....they are all backed by the same unseen hand. RP is a threat to that very way of life...and they are scrambling to try to do something about it.....they are reduced to smirks and hisses....in a PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE....they are a joke andits being revealed daily.

Ron, gotta love him. His ideas are sound. My biggest concern is that with each passing day, his old age shows more and more. He really needs to work on being patient when he speaks. He tends to rush his ideas, mumbling at times, cutting himself off when finishing a point. If he can improve in these areas, I think he will win over more voters.

What, so you don't want to get shouted down with an overtly negative comment, so you make it less obvious? Dr. Paul is not only the intellectual superior of every other man on the stage, he also delivers long and complicated ideas in a way that makes that intelligence irrefutable.

I agree with cexXxor. Ron Paul does need to work on it.. Perhaps it does have something to do with his age, but a lot of people find it difficult to be cogent and consistent when they are put on the spot.
The fact is the rest of these clowns are actors, masters of image and public relations technique. They work constantly at improving their ability to come across convincingly.

RP's media imperfection is a major part of his appeal. It's easy for everyday people to see themselves in him. He really comes across as just a regular joe who happens to be running for president. Throw in his purely common sense platform, and he should already be running away with it. The powerful, crooked media is doing its best to keep him down, but he just might pull it off anyway. More people are catching on to the massive MSM fraud every day.

Perhaps that's the case, his media imperfection being part of his appeal. However, mumbling, cutting off your own sentences, incomplete points, weak tonality. These are things that can be improved, without mastering Machavellian political strategy. They just make his points look weak. And unless you're one of these die hard Alex Jones kids working day and night on the internet to praise the man, than these issues will have an impact on the average American watching.

Agreed. But even without an ounce of improvement, he's still light years ahead of the Kennebunkport Cowboy currently squatting in the Oval Office, in terms of being able to put consecutive coherent sentences together.

I don't think he tried to make anything less obvious. I think he had a weak delivery over all. Look, I agree with Paul on just about every point he made at this debate. But he made many of his arguments look weak by his delivery alone. Simply things like slowing down, finishing his sentences, fleshing out his thought completely. These are things he will have to improve on if he wants to be the next President.

You're an idiot! The guy is more articulate then 90% of America! What you want is a polished "politicians" style response. Ron Paul's whole appeal is his honest approach to government. You are so used to seeing slippery polished politician speak that you confuse honest real speaking with a lack of articulation and communication skills. Ron Paul is very articulate. He does not need to slow down or " flesh out his thoughts" lol.

I'm not sure what you see when you listen to Ron Paul speak but he is more articulate, and expresses his thoughts better than any of them. He does not talk fast. If he does not finish his thoughts it's because of the debate forum and the fact that he does not use 15 second soundbites to cheapen the debate and insult the audience's intelligence.
