OK. One more time. Some vaccines contain viruses. These viruses were grown in human cell lines which have been reproduced for decades. SOME of these cell lines MAY have originally been grown from samples that included aborted fetal tissue. Repeat: there are viruses, NOT human cells, in some vaccines.
There is no aborted fetal tissue in vaccines. Some vaccines necessarily contain viruses; these viruses are grown in human cell line cultures. Repeat: THERE ARE NO ABORTED BABIES IN THE VACCINE. Anti-vaxers love to trot this old canard out because it makes religious idiots hop up and down and refuse to vaccinate their kids.
@RichRobust I checked the CDC and FDA websites. Human fetal cell lines are in some vaccines and were gathered from aborted fetuses. Even pro vaccine sites such as immunize.org dont deny this.
The really creepy thing is pushing this unscientific nonsense in a place like New York. You do realize that the primary method of transportation in NYC is to crowd into an enclosed subway car shared with literally thousands of people? So, you want me to have to take my not-yet-vaccinated baby in there with your unvaccinated children. Do what you want, I guess, but it should be legal for those of us who do the responsible thing to hold the irresponsible disease carriers accountable.
@XenophonJones The funny thing is, statistics show that those who choose NOT to vaccinate are actually among the more highly-educated. They must have done actual research and not just bought the story fed to us by government officials, big pharma, and docs, who all stand to gain from people vaccinating themselves into oblivion.
@M1ssDiagnosis Wow, it's astonishingly easy to pull a statistic out of the air and not even give a number, isn't it? It makes you wonder why more people don't do it? Here's some actual, hard facts for you: Mercola is a "natural health" advocate who makes millions off right alongside the executives of "big pharma", ironically once trying to sell baby formula(!?!). Here's another cold, hard fact for you: Wakefield was a sham of a researcher who engaged in the most unethical practices.
Yes - like medical care being put back to the 18th century. Diphtheria, measles, mumps, polio, rubella, Streptococcus pneumoniae, tuberculosis and others are not nice to have around an unvaccinated population, killing hundreds of millions each year. Remember smallpox? Oh no, that's right - it's been eradicated due to vaccination after killing an estimated 300–500 million deaths during the 20th century.
@YTArild You drank the Kool-Aid, my friend. Vaccines do NOT eradicate diseases. Diseases die off on their own before the introduction of vaccines; and this information is a matter of public record! Also, "old" diseases cropping back up, like pertussis, are actually happening among people vaccinated against that very disease.
I understand that people are taught vaccine theory (immunization by presence of antibodies) as fact in our schools. What I don't understand is this militant aggression towards people who wish to think for and be responsible for themselves and their children. If those who believe the theory go ahead and get vaccinated themselves, what have they to be afraid of? I mean, it either works or it doesn't!
@logsdonj Erm... So what you're saying is, vaccination only actually works if no one gets ill in the first place? Any doctor will have to admit that one of the known side-effects of a vaccination is to develop the illness itself, so if you believe in herd immunity then even 100% vaccinated communities would not be safe. Like I said, you either believe the vaccines prevent disease or you don't. I'm afraid all the hard evidence says they don't; but side effects do include disability and death.
@helsbiggerpicture You obviously did not read the scientific literature on herd immunity.
Most vaccines are 90-95% effective, so 1 in 10-20 people who are vaccinated will still catch it if they are exposed. Those 10 - 20 people, however, are considered generally safe as long as about 90-something% of the population gets vaccinated.
We're aggressive because you are putting everyone else at risk by not vaccinating your kids. If you want to keep your little disease bombs at home until they are 18 and can decide that they have some sense and get vaccinated, that's fine. They have no place interacting with the rest of us.
There have been virtually NO tests done on the effects of multiple vaccines being given at once. The tests are all done on isolated vaccines. Also, there NO double-blind tests on a CONTROL GROUP of kids who did NOT receive vaccines to see which group fared best. How "scientific" is THAT?!
@davehshs the amish dont get any vaccines, guess what?
they are as healthy as a horse..
examine the religion at the highest levels of those who own and run the drug industry.what u find will shock you.they consider you "profane" and your children "pieces of meat to be owned and used by them"expendible.
watch tim rifat on you tube to understand.especially the tim and jeff interview.
@bobo007xx Yes, but the Amish are an isolated population and not an accurate way to asses the efects of not vaccinating. The babies who died of whopping cough in California are the perfect example of what happens when people stop vaccinating.
@nicolaswirth why not?they dont get vaccines do they?what more do u want.
heres something for you.at the top of one of the pharma companies is the rockefellers.
In their Memoir they talk openly about killing 9 out of 10 people on the planet.as lucifarian/satanists the derive power from the blood ritual magick from the mass death.given to them from their "gods" this is how they create their reality.now do u want to take a jab from them in your arm?this is a fact.u have been lied to(think Janus)
@nicolaswirth the whooping cough was probably planted to promote the vaccine.they were caught red handed spraying polio back in the 1930s to create fear and sell vaccines.EXAMINE the mindset of the OWNERS of the companies and u will be shocked.they want u dead.sorry but its true.they have short term, medium term and long term plans(50-100 year)
@bobo007xx So all the studies that disagree with you were faked, the disappearance of many diseases after the introduction of vaccines was faked, and the resurgence of diseases in the absence of vaccines was faked, and all the poor, discredited science supporting your position is actually right?
@davehshs Because such a test would leave a large group of kids exposed to contagious and deadly diseases. An epidemiological study would require a huge population and extremely expensive funding. There is no reasons to waste millions of dolars looking for answers that already exist. NO GOOD STUDY has found a link between vaccines and autism.
@nicolaswirth actually no good study has NOT found a link between autism and vaccines.there is a series of studies very good solid science that definatly show a likn.
vaccines are the main cause of autism.but hey,i dont give darn.take your vaccines like a good little sheeple.
@Kerberoz01 try behavioral science profiling, sociapathic forensics.examine the vaccine companies and those who run them.then examine the FEW owners.do a complete study.
when u have learnt that(the rockefellers) for example, who own several pharma companies, have written memoirs, that tell of their need to murder 9 out of 10 people of the earth,(to save it.and for blood ritual)and learn that their religion is lucifarian/satanist(lies/truth)THEN ask yourself."would i take their vaccine in my arm?"
@bobo007xx so you admit that I'm right about the microscopic teacup orbiting Mars? Okay. Or maybe Mars doesn't exist and is actually an Illuminati conspiracy, but the teacup still does exist because you can't prove that it doesn't.
Do you like to use the heavy-duty foil, or just double-layer the normal stuff?
@bobo007xx Gary Null has been thouroughly debunked for a reason, read "Respectful Insolence" if you don't believe me. You will also find that an actual vaxed vs un-vaxed study was conducted, and no link was found.
@nicolaswirth There are many thousands of parents, RIGHT NOW, who would gladly enroll their kids in such a control group, to see whether vaccinated kids REALLY have a lower incidence of the illness du jour. You'll notice that the CDC did NOT give a breakdown of which people with swine flu had been vaccinated and, in 2009, went out of their way to discourage such state statistics.
@davehshs It is not an issue of lack of people to conduct the study, doing it the way you propose would cost billions! Billions that can be used to conduct studies to answer questions we don't know the answer to. Vaccines don't cause autism.
Also, if the CDC did not give a breakdown of vaccinated people who got swine flu, it is not evidence to say the vaccins didn't work. You need actual data to answer that question, not lack of it.
@nicolaswirth It would NOT cost "billions" to run such a study using a control group of, say, 5,000 kids. You're right in saying that we need data. My whole point is that the CDC is SUPPRESSING that data. Just ASK swine flu victims if they were vaccinated when they see a doctor for treatment, and keep records. I'm not even talking about autism. My point is there is no proof vaccines WORK. I've NEVER had the flu and have NEVER had a flu shot. I know many people who got flu after a vaccination.
@davehshs We have data, overwhelming data that does not show a link, especially the fact that autism rates did not change after thimerosal was removed. The plural of anecdote is anecdotes, not data. Your personal experience is worthless. it would cost billions (or at least millions) to follow, enroll and asses 5,000 kids (which may be insufficient). Also if you read "Respectful insolence" a blog by Orac you will see there is a vaxed vs un-vaxed study that found no link
@nicolaswirth I REPEAT a line you apparently missed: I'm NOT even talking about AUTISM. I'm talking about whether vaccines even work to prevent the diseases they claim to prevent.
I think this message is much "too" mild. I think it could actually be mistaken for promoting vaccines especially if you missed the first few seconds and only see the ending. People need a bigger jolt than this to let them know they have a choice, it is not required by law and like any medical procedure there is some risk involved and possible side effects so they need to weigh the risk / benefit for each vaccine they are considering. So many people are still so clueless.
Sorry Euricy but you're wrong. Look at vaccine incident rates over the past 80 years and you'll see that these things vaccines have allegedly cured us of were 80%-95% wiped out before the vaccines were even introduced. Measles 98% gone, pertussis 79%, Polio 55% before the vaccines were EVEN INTRODUCED. Herd immunity is a myth also. Your own govt reported in MMWR 1999 huge outbreaks of measles in 100% vaccinated populations. My only duty is to MY body. Keep your hands off me and my family.
@TheHuskerfan24 explain to me how polio was "cured" before the vaccine, which developed in the 1950's, and it was an epidemic during the late 1800's to early 1900's?
Not just your health. The health of those around you is affected by the non-use of life-saving vaccines. All medicines carry risk. I won't lie about that. But the number of deaths prevented by vaccines is staggering. Those healthy enough to receive immunization have a /duty/ and an /obligation/ to those who can't for age or health reasons to immunize themselves. The most healthy people who are immunized the more the rest of the population is protected from deadly diseases.
It also seems to me that the pro vax people are usually pretty militant and abusive in their arguments, whereas the anti vax people aren't even anti-vax so much as they're pro choice! If you get vaccinated, what are you worried about? I get why people would vaccinate. It's a perceived form of protection from disease. I choose a wellness approach that doesn't include vaccination, personally.
Great debate between DianeDi and blobvision, showcasing the contrasting viewpoints. Vaccination is not an ethical responsibility. Learning about it is. Preserving the right to choose what chemicals go into your body is an ethical responsibility which far outweighs any perceived benefit from vaccination.
CDC researcher Poul Thorsen, who famously headed up the "Denmark Study" that many claim disproved any link between autism and vaccines, has been indicted in Atlanta by a federal grand jury on charges of wire fraud, money laundering and defrauding research institutions of grant money.
The burden of proof is rightly upon the one who would FORCE others to be injected with a substance... to PROVE "beyond a reasonable doubt" that it is safe. However, we have much greater than a "reasonable doubt." We have epidemiological evidence demonstrating a very strong correlation between a lack of vaccinations and a lack of autism.

Mercola? Seriously? Any shred of credibility that this ad ever had just went up in smoke thanks to that ugly logo on the bottom left of the screen.
People, vaccination is more than just a choice: it's an ethical responsibility!! Ask your grandparents about the effects of polio, measles, diphtheria, and all these other diseases which may not be common today, but which will come back before we know it if we are negligent (just google measle outbreak). Wake up!!!
Dr. Mercola is an unethical, lying, dangerous man. The antivaccine movement is based on nothing but lies, deception and corruption--it needs to be stopped. It's costing lives and misleading the public. These people should be ashamed of themselves.
@blobvision Human kind has never been sicker...... go figure, vaccines, fluoride, GMO's, plus the other 80,000+ chemical concoctions in our daily lives. The modern industrial age - the last 100 years.... damn, look at us all, sick, fatigued, psychotic, depressed, overweight, high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma, allergies, cancer, osteoporosis, oh but wait, BIG PHARMA has just the right pill (s) for us. Autism is the most obvious illness..... I think you should look in the mirror.
@DianeDi Yeah, no kidding the world has gotten sicker, look at what you wrote! You're batty in the head if you think you have a coherent argument by comparing GMOs to vaccines. Obviously you haven't heard the news, but the author of the paper connecting vaccines to Autism admitted to fraud--by lying to the public that there was a connection by writing a fraudulent paper. He admitted it. Idiot. There has never been a connection, not one of the thousands of studies on it have shown any proof.
@blobvision You must be referring to Dr. Andrew Wakefield who NEVER ever once admitted anything like you are accusing & you know it! In fact, thanks to Big Pharma & government corporate / media whores, they won't allow him to state his case publicly. I suggest you or anyone else that wants the truth, read his book CALLOUS DISREGARD.
Human kind does not need toxic waste injected into their veins - they need clean food, vitamin D (sunshine) to build the immune system.
@DianeDi It's also funny how you claim people are more unhealthy now, despite the fact we have lengthened our lives to an average of 80 years, have more than quadrupled our numbers many times over, which keeps on growing exponentially year by year with no end in sight. We have been fools to consumption and have turned our focus to capitalism and letting companies do what they want, but please blame companies themselves, not science. And when arguing any such claims. get the facts straight.
@blob People ARE far more UNhealthy now. Yes, the life expectancy has increased, however more people have chronic diseases & R now dependent upon the medical industry for drugs & various expensive treatments. Don't you see, this is all by design. They feed us processed food, GMO's (never tested or proven to be safe for human consumption), chemical additives/pesticides/herbicides/fluorides/aspartame - these are all forms of toxins.
They want us sick, we are worth nothing dead or healthy.
@DianeDi Explain how immunizing yourself from a lethal pathogen is unhealthy--especially since the polio vaccine has rendered the disease extinct in our country. How can you so shallowly undermine the advancements in medicine? Infant mortality rate has fallen dramatically since medicine has become advanced, even with all the medicines and medical procedures and diet of the present. Certain diseases may have gotten worse, others have improved. Medical procedures continue to become safer and safer
just want to point out that that U.S. (with more vaccines on the schedule than any other country!) also has the highest infant mortality rate compared to other First World Countries... could there be a correlation? Is too many worse than none at all?
@PumkinPeanut How does that make vaccines the direct causation of infant mortality? Do you realize how many factors there are there? Infant mortality has always been going down. Where's your data? And I don't want it from some silly alternative medicine website that spouts unsupported conspiracies and no hard facts from actual research and experimentation.
The government (with your tax dollars) pays outside companies, who hire employees to monitor social media sites, such as this, that carry messages that are NOT promoting the corporations that got them elected. In other words people are paid to promote vaccines, fluoride, aspartame, MSG, GMO'S, etc., so Big Pharma / Industry doesn't lose a penny. I'm guessing as of this writing there are about 40 monitoring this site. Shame on you!
@frickinmatchbox I'm comparing known harmful toxins - whether "officially" accepted by the government or bioengineering corporations, or not. As long as these multi billion dollar corporations continue to "control" our government, we will be continually duped and told to blindly trust them and their fraudulent science. It boils down to nothing more than profit and greed.
Also, when did I say anything about YOU being paid to write your comment????
If you don't like living in a free country then please, GET OUT! I guess there are two sides to every story except for vaccines. Herd Immunity is a Theory. All you vaccine religous nuts, should go ask your grandparents if they are updated on all the vaccines. If they say no, then tell them they are a threat to their grandkids and drag them to the doctor.
Most infectious diseases disappeared without vaccines for them. Most of the familiar diseases for which vaccines were created were already dramatically on the decline PRIOR to utilizing routing immunizations. Don't take my word for it the CDC's own data demonstrates this quite obviously on a bar graph. The fact that they themselves propogate the "myth of the eradication of infectious diseases solely due to vaccines and immunization" is absurd, deceptive and tragic!
This is the most mild message possible to remind people that vaccines carry some risks and that people don't have to get them if they don't want to. Anyone who opposes this is just silly. And they cannot claim that they want informed consent in medicine.
Vaccination is not religion, people get to question it and opt out if they want. Stop treating vaccination like it is magic. Vaccines are pharmaceuticals and all Rx carries risk.
@morepuppies There's a problem with letting people decide for themselves that you are ignoring--it can potentially ruin the effectiveness of the vaccines for the population as a whole. When a certain amount of people stop receiving them, the unvaccinated people will get the diseases the vaccines were put in place to destroy, which allows the diseases to thrive and evolve--making the vaccines worthless and allowing an altered version of the diseases to spread and infect the population.
@blob It's called CHOICE! If VACCINES actually worked, why would YOU care if I had a vaccine or not. Wouldn't YOU be immune to whatever disease U were vaccinated against? Don't give me that "mutation" nonsense. Your logic sounds more like an *Edward Bernays* propaganda machine than anything else.
Vaccines don't work / never have & if anyone really wants to know the TRUTH ABOUT VACCINES;
Google things like *HIV is man made* or *polio vaccine scandal* or *Spanish flu 1918 caused by vaccines*
@DianeDi Vaccination do work and they do prevent diseases. They eradicated polio in the USA and all countries where the population has been properly inoculated by most individuals. The diseases start t come back because people are starting to refuse them, and only when these people start doing that the diseases become virulent again. Not one before the other. look at the results. You refuse to accept the vaccine data, which has been collected by the world health organzation, a UN program.
@blobvision UN Program - LOL - Either you truly are naive or a paid troll. Everyone knows the UN produced a document - approx. 350 pages in length.
Google "Agenda 21 PDF"
- you must be kidding me.
This is all about depopulation, it's common knowledge - vaccines are one of the best delivery methods to date, except now, people are waking up - it's making us sick, they are putting diseases into the vaccines.
Why the heck do you think they are trying to mandate them. It's genocide!
@DianeDi Why do I have no reason to charge you with the same incredible crime? Wow. I think the liberal scientists, which means most scientists, would be against such inhumane acts if that were the case. Why did Carl Sagan think vaccinations were a live saving advancement in science? The pot smoking, tree huger/astronomer? Talk about your wall street fat cats and corrupt lobbyists. By the way, vaccines usually contain dead cells, not active disease that can be spread from the vaccine itself.
@blobviso why can't you answer my question? If U R vaccinated & IF vaccines truly work, why would you care if I didn't have one? If I die, so be it right? Who cares! If vaccine works, you have nothing to worry about.
Vaccines = genocide
Vaccines = Big Pharma profit
Vaccines = man made viruses & diseases
Vaccines = toxic substances
No scientific peer reviewed studies exist PROVING that vaccines actually work.
No scientific peer reviewed studies exist PROVING that vaccines DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM.
@DianeDi It wouldn't just be you dying alone, your disease would spread to people you know who are also anti-vaccine like you and haven't been given immunity to the disease. That's why a certain majority people need to have them, so it cannot survive or evolve in other humans. What about that don't you get? It's not my fault you don't understand the science. That doesn't make you right either. You need proof, then can your claim even be considered worthy of being a rational argument.
@DianeDi Please forgive me, but I must admit that it is a tad embarrassing for me to converse with someone who is two times older than me that could be so incredibly misinformed about this. The MMR vaccine, the one blamed by naysayers as being responsible for autism, despite it is untrue due to a fraudulent paper. Here's some information about your alleged claim that there is evidence for a autism-vaccine correlation: msnbc.msn.com/id/40951375/ns/health-kids_and_parenting/
@DianeDi In 1997 it was found that the MMR vaccine had stopped Measles from being an endemic in the United States. Even with the evidence for it's effectiveness in saving lives, a man named Andrew Wakefield wrote a fake paper connecting Autism to the MMR vaccine. He later admitted what he had done. There was never any evidence for his claim, no studies have proved his claim. Adverse effects to MMR are related to an allergic reaction to chicken yolk, and were limited to soreness and joint pain.
@blobvision If I don't vaccinate and you do.... so be it. All the individuals that you "claim" will get sick and die (really won't), but for the sake of argument, even if they all die, what business is it of yours to force me to be injected with toxins in my veins, against my will. If I have a healthy immune, which I do (because I don't vaccinate) I won't get sick. I haven't been sick in years not even a cold.
Do you run around forcing fluoridation on the population as well? Get real.
@DianeDi At least I care enough to research important medical information so that I can help protect not only my health but also be responsible for the health of those around me. What's your excuse?
I have provided you with more than enough information in my previous replies. Are you unable to Google and read? Those are some very powerful sites with documents and reports. You on the other hand are simply repeating what main stream TV spews out to the masses. You have provided no information while claiming to know it all. You should be ashamed of yourself. We are done here, as I see you have an agenda. I have far more important things to do than argue with trolls.

@morepuppies the problem with the ad is not what it says, since vaccines do carry risks. The problem is Mercola.com and the NVIC are a source of dangerous misinformation and pseudoscience.
That sounds good as a concept, but the NVIC and Mercola.org happen to be run by a bunch of lunatics. These are not sources of information, they are sources of crackpot propaganda, which is why so many people are opposed to the ad.
@dgdfhfghgfhgfgffjhj Well seeing as the head of NVIC, is regularly testifying before the National Vaccine Advisory Committee and one of their board members actually sits on the Committee, I don't think that you can throw out calling them "nutballs" with any credibility.
Testifying before the committee? That carries no scientific weight. The committee probably hears from loads of cranks.
It is not clear who you refer to as being on the committee, but they are temporary terms and qualifications are as low as being "concerned". This too is a worthless claim.
@dgdfhfghgfhgfgffjhj "Vicky Pebsworth Debold, PhD, RN, is an NVIC board member and volunteer Director of Research and Patient Safety. She has worked with NVIC since 2006 on vaccine safety analytical and education projects.
Dr. Debold has been employed in the health care field for more than 30 years as an ICU nurse, health care administrator, health policy analyst and research scientist primarily focusing on pediatrics and patient safety. Currently, she is a Research Scientist..."

@dgdfhfghgfhgfgffjhj "...peer review program administered by the Department of Defense (DoD) and United States Army Medical Research and Materiel Command (USAMRMC)..."
You know what... she has a long bio and I think I have made my point. If you want to read more about this "nutball" then just to go NVIC.org and read her whole bio for yourself.
"Tawny Buck is NVIC's volunteer Director of Government Relations.... Tawny served on the Advisory Commission on Childhood Vaccines (ACCV) as a parent representative from 2005-2009. During her term she served as the Commission co-Chair. She is currently a consumer representative for the National Vaccine Advisory Commission (NVAC ) and the co-Chair of the Vaccine Safety Work Group (VSWG) for the NVAC."
What was that again? "AS A PARENT REPRESENTATIVE", which is exactly the low concerned-parent-group standard I pointed out. Her presence on that board suggests no legitimacy for her ideas. Your citation of this is pure gullibility on your part. These people convince people like you that they are authoritative because they talk a lot.
@dgdfhfghgfhgfgffjhj whats so crazy about freedom of choice? Personally i feel that it absolutely must be a choice. It would be unconstitutional to do otherwise. Not only that but its also a medical procedure, I dont see anything wrong with encouraging people to actually learn about something that would be going into their bodies and the components of that something.
Now you are playing the old "freedom" card as a defense to nonsense. No, FREEDOM of choice isn't crazy, but a SPECIFIC choice can be crazy. Consider a person who might choose to wear jello as shoes. Yes, a bit crazy. No, that doesn't mean having the freedom to choose shoes is crazy.
@dgdfhfghgfhgfgffjhj im not playing any sort of card. Im in the middle of the road when it comes to this. There is nothing wrong with encouraging people to educate themselves on the risks and rewards of something and how something works. I stand by my position that this must be a choice and that it is unconstitutional for it to be otherwise
@TheErikHughes I somewhat agree with you but if others get vaccinated only the fools who didn't would get the disease. It should be a choice but to spread this kinda propaganda (like the video) above is silly.
@TheErikHughes Excuse me? How the hell would I even get the diseases anyway? I am vaccinated myself and so is my kid to a certain degree. I have religious reservations about a few because they contain aborted fetal tissue. If you and yours are vaccinated then you wouldnt have to worry about getting those preventable diseases. We live here in the United States where we still have freedom to choose what goes into our bodies. Move to china where its forced if you dont like it.
@M1ssDiagnosis Most vaccines are 90-95% effective, so 1 in 10-20 people who are vaccinated will still catch it if they are exposed, unlike those who are unvaccinated who will catch the disease at a much higher rate. Most people who are vaccinated and catch something have caught it from someone who was not. That is the issue.
@saiyajinmillina - You're an idiot, then. There's nothing in the constitution that says you're allowed to endanger the entire population because you think there's antifreeze in the vaccine.
@RichRobust I never said anything about antifreeze now did I? Way to fabricate something I never said. Theres also the line in the bill of rights about life and liberty and such liberty includes the right to choose what goes into ones body. Do you condone forcing medical procedures on people? If you do then you are living in the wrong country.
This is great. Did you even watch the ad? - it did not say "Don't vaccinate." It said "Know the risks." As in, what's wrong with a little knowlede? Or basically learn about what your kid is getting stabbed with. I have no problem with your child getting vaccinated if you have knowingly decided that, but don't force 36+ untested shots on my growing child before the age of 6. What is more reckless -knowledge, or trusting big pharma?
@baarrygibb Their whole M.O. is staunchly anti-vax; the fact that their ad only says "know the risks" is so that they can maintain plausible deniability while introducing fear and doubt into the minds of people who don't know better. Selling people on this junk science and paranoia is dangerous.
BTW you slip in the word "untested" very casually -- what evidence do you have that ANY vaccine, let alone ones given to little kids, is actually untested in ANY sense?
@Falco98 You're absolutely correct, I very carelessly used the word "untested," and I wouldn't want to spread that notion. What I meant was... under-tested? The big pharm companies test the crap out of their vaccines, but regardless of the testing, the vaccines still have a very strong (but like you might point out, unproven) correlation to rise in childhood conditions. When vaccines began being enforced in the 70's, 1 in 2,500 children developed autism. Today, 1 in 150!! From what?
@baarrygibb Re: autism rates increasing -- the experts I've heard speak on the matter point out that Autism was not always diagnosed the same, and recently gaining attention. My point is that the rates of occurrence may well be exactly the same as 30, 40 and 50 years ago, just that back then, labels like "dull", "stupid" or "retarded" were used instead of "autistic" or developmentally challenged, etc.
Also, even if rates are genuinely increasing, vaccines are not the only possible factor.
@Falco98 I agree with much of what you have stated but the sheer numbers of vaccines and the toxins that are in the syringes for preserving, stabilizing and triggering adjuvants are overwhelming to young children's channels of elimination, there is simply too many toxins and too large amounts for many children's bodies to effectivelly deal with.
@Falco98 So while some kids can and do receive the full vaccine schedule with seemingly no ill effects others who are already predisposed to neurological and or immunological issues are greatly impacted by this toxic slew
@Falco98 Don't know if you received my last reply, although I really do hate youtube debates - neither of us is going to change our views. I do have to say that in discussing the ad, it appears to be responsible: "know the risks," instead of "do not get vaccines." Our govt and healthcare system does the exact opposite - do you recall the Swine Flu "epidemic" that was nothing more than a mild flu strain? Talk about paranoia- "Get the shot, or else!" And you think this ad will cause paranoia?
@baarrygibb The problem with the ad is it encourages people to visit two websites known to be full of propaganda and misinformation (for short, "Woo"). People exposed to such BS will often get lured in by the seductive ideas of scapegoating a broad-spectrum disease like autism onto some 'easy target' like Vaccines, and be fully on board before it ever occurs to them to be skeptical or get a different angle. I'm not against people getting the truth, but that's not the real intent of this ad.
HOw do you know its not the real intent of the ad? It simply says that its a choice and to find the facts out. There are more than just 2 websites to get facts about vaccinations. Its to get people to educate themselves about the risk before they just blindly trust these drug companies when they tell people they are safe. There is alot of info about the dangers of vaccinating and it's a personal choice if a parent doesn't want their children to be injected with this garbage.

OK. One more time. Some vaccines contain viruses. These viruses were grown in human cell lines which have been reproduced for decades. SOME of these cell lines MAY have originally been grown from samples that included aborted fetal tissue. Repeat: there are viruses, NOT human cells, in some vaccines.
RichRobust 2 months ago

XenophonJones 2 months ago
@XenophonJones The funny thing is, statistics show that those who choose NOT to vaccinate are actually among the more highly-educated. They must have done actual research and not just bought the story fed to us by government officials, big pharma, and docs, who all stand to gain from people vaccinating themselves into oblivion.
M1ssDiagnosis 2 months ago
@M1ssDiagnosis Wow, it's astonishingly easy to pull a statistic out of the air and not even give a number, isn't it? It makes you wonder why more people don't do it? Here's some actual, hard facts for you: Mercola is a "natural health" advocate who makes millions off right alongside the executives of "big pharma", ironically once trying to sell baby formula(!?!). Here's another cold, hard fact for you: Wakefield was a sham of a researcher who engaged in the most unethical practices.
XenophonJones 2 months ago
"Not using vaccines: Know the risks. "
YTArild 2 months ago

I mean, it either works or it doesn't!
helsbiggerpicture 3 months ago
@helsbiggerpicture Look up "herd immunity." You put the entire population at risk by not getting vaccinated.
logsdonj 2 months ago 7
@logsdonj Erm... So what you're saying is, vaccination only actually works if no one gets ill in the first place? Any doctor will have to admit that one of the known side-effects of a vaccination is to develop the illness itself, so if you believe in herd immunity then even 100% vaccinated communities would not be safe. Like I said, you either believe the vaccines prevent disease or you don't. I'm afraid all the hard evidence says they don't; but side effects do include disability and death.
helsbiggerpicture 1 month ago

@helsbiggerpicture You obviously did not read the scientific literature on herd immunity.
Most vaccines are 90-95% effective, so 1 in 10-20 people who are vaccinated will still catch it if they are exposed. Those 10 - 20 people, however, are considered generally safe as long as about 90-something% of the population gets vaccinated.

@helsbiggerpicture

@davehshs Because such a test would leave a large group of kids exposed to contagious and deadly diseases. An epidemiological study would require a huge population and extremely expensive funding. nicolaswirth 6 months ago
@nicolaswirth There are many thousands of parents, RIGHT NOW, who would gladly enroll their kids in such a control group, to see whether vaccinated kids REALLY have a lower incidence of the illness du jour. You'll notice that the CDC did NOT give a breakdown of which people with swine flu had been vaccinated and, in 2009, went out of their way to discourage such state statistics.
davehshs 7 months ago
@davehshs It is not an issue of lack of people to conduct the study, doing it the way you propose would cost billions! Billions that can be used to conduct studies to answer questions we don't know the answer to. Vaccines don't cause autism.
Also, if the CDC did not give a breakdown of vaccinated people who got swine flu, it is not evidence to say the vaccins didn't work. You need actual data to answer that question, not lack of it.
nicolaswirth 6 months ago
@nicolaswirth It would NOT cost "billions" to run such a study using a control group of, say, 5,000 kids. You're right in saying that we need data. My whole point is that the CDC is SUPPRESSING that data. Just ASK swine flu victims if they were vaccinated when they see a doctor for treatment, and keep records. I'm not even talking about autism. My point is there is no proof vaccines WORK. I've NEVER had the flu and have NEVER had a flu shot. I know many people who got flu after a vaccination.
davehshs 6 months ago
@davehshs We have data, overwhelming data that does not show a link, especially the fact that autism rates did not change after thimerosal was removed. The plural of anecdote is anecdotes, not data. Your personal experience is worthless. it would cost billions (or at least millions) to follow, enroll and asses 5,000 kids (which may be insufficient). Also if you read "Respectful insolence" a blog by Orac you will see there is a vaxed vs un-vaxed study that found no link
nicolaswirth 6 months ago
@nicolaswirth I REPEAT a line you apparently missed: I'm NOT even talking about AUTISM. I'm talking about whether vaccines even work to prevent the diseases they claim to prevent.

superfuzz 7 months ago 2
I think this message is much "too" mild. I think it could actually be mistaken for promoting vaccines especially if you missed the first few seconds and only see the ending. People need a bigger jolt than this to let them know they have a choice, it is not required by law and like any medical procedure there is some risk involved and possible side effects so they need to weigh the risk / benefit for each vaccine they are considering. So many people are still so clueless.
PumkinPeanut 9 months ago
Sorry Euricy but you're wrong. Look at vaccine incident rates over the past 80 years and you'll see that these things vaccines have allegedly cured us of were 80%-95% wiped out before the vaccines were even introduced. Measles 98% gone, pertussis 79%, Polio 55% before the vaccines were EVEN INTRODUCED. Herd immunity is a myth also. Your own govt reported in MMWR 1999 huge outbreaks of measles in 100% vaccinated populations. My only duty is to MY body. Keep your hands off me and my family.

dubs054 7 months ago
Not just your health. The health of those around you is affected by the non-use of life-saving vaccines. All medicines carry risk. I won't lie about that. But the number of deaths prevented by vaccines is staggering. Those healthy enough to receive immunization have a /duty/ and an /obligation/ to those who can't for age or health reasons to immunize themselves. The most healthy people who are immunized the more the rest of the population is protected from deadly diseases.
EuricyChan 10 months ago 2

He admitted it. Idiot. There has never been a connection, not one of the thousands of studies on it have shown any proof.

@blob People ARE far more UNhealthy now. Yes, the life expectancy has increased, however more people have chronic diseases & R now dependent upon the medical industry for drugs & various expensive treatments.

Vaccines are pharmaceuticals and all Rx carries risk.
morepuppies 10 months ago 15

Vaccines don't work / never have & if anyone really wants to know the TRUTH ABOUT VACCINES;
Google things like *HIV is man made* or *polio vaccine scandal* or *Spanish flu 1918 caused by vaccines*
DianeDi 10 months ago
@DianeDi Vaccination do work and they do prevent diseases. They eradicated polio in the USA and all countries where the population has been properly inoculated by most individuals. The diseases start t come back because people are starting to refuse them, and only when these people start doing that the diseases become virulent again. Not one before the other. look at the results. You refuse to accept the vaccine data, which has been collected by the world health organzation, a UN program.
blobvision 10 months ago
@blobvision UN Program - LOL - Either you truly are naive or a paid troll. Everyone knows the UN produced a document - approx. 350 pages in length.
Google "Agenda 21 PDF"
- you must be kidding me.
This is all about depopulation, it's common knowledge - vaccines are one of the best delivery methods to date, except now, people are waking up - it's making us sick, they are putting diseases into the vaccines.
Why the heck do you think they are trying to mandate them. It's genocide!
DianeDi 10 months ago
@DianeDi Why do I have no reason to charge you with the same incredible crime? Wow. I think the liberal scientists, which means most scientists, would be against such inhumane acts if that were the case. Why did Carl Sagan think vaccinations were a live saving advancement in science? The pot smoking, tree huger/astronomer? Talk about your wall street fat cats and corrupt lobbyists. By the way, vaccines usually contain dead cells, not active disease that can be spread from the vaccine itself.
blobvision 10 months ago
@blobviso why can't you answer my question? If U R vaccinated & IF vaccines truly work, why would you care if I didn't have one? If I die, so be it right? Who cares! If vaccine works, you have nothing to worry about.
Vaccines = genocide
Vaccines = Big Pharma profit
Vaccines = man made viruses & diseases
Vaccines = toxic substances
No scientific peer reviewed studies exist PROVING that vaccines actually work.
No scientific peer reviewed studies exist PROVING that vaccines DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM.
DianeDi 10 months ago 2

Here's some information about your alleged claim that there is evidence for a autism-vaccine correlation: msnbc.msn.com/id/40951375/ns/health-kids_and_parenting/
blobvision 10 months ago
@DianeDi In 1997 it was found that the MMR vaccine had stopped Measles from being an endemic in the United States. Even with the evidence for it's effectiveness in saving lives, a man named Andrew Wakefield wrote a fake paper connecting Autism to the MMR vaccine. He later admitted what he had done. There was never any evidence for his claim, no studies have proved his claim. Adverse effects to MMR are related to an allergic reaction to chicken yolk, and were limited to soreness and joint pain.
blobvision 10 months ago
@blobvision If I don't vaccinate and you do.... so be it. All the individuals that you "claim" will get sick and die (really won't), but for the sake of argument, even if they all die, what business is it of yours to force me to be injected with toxins in my veins, against my will. If I have a healthy immune, which I do (because I don't vaccinate) I won't get sick. I haven't been sick in years not even a cold.
Do you run around forcing fluoridation on the population as well? Get real.

When it comes to safety and effectiveness, the burden of proof is rightly upon the one who would FORCE others to be injected with a substance... to PROVE "beyond a reasonable doubt" that it is safe. However, we have much greater than a "reasonable doubt." We have epidemiological evidence demonstrating a very strong correlation between a lack of vaccinations and a lack of autism.

Testifying before the committee? That carries no scientific weight. The committee probably hears from loads of cranks.

What was that again? "AS A PARENT REPRESENTATIVE", which is exactly the low concerned-parent-group standard I pointed out. Her presence on that board suggests no legitimacy for her ideas. @dgdfhfghgfhgfgffjhj whats so crazy about freedom of choice? Personally i feel that it absolutely must be a choice. It would be unconstitutional to do otherwise. Not only that but its also a medical procedure, I dont see anything wrong with encouraging people to actually learn about something that would be going into their bodies and the components of that something.
saiyajinmillina 3 months ago 2
@saiyajinmillina
Now you are playing the old "freedom" card as a defense to nonsense. No, FREEDOM of choice isn't crazy, but a SPECIFIC choice can be crazy. Consider a person who might choose to wear jello as shoes. Yes, a bit crazy. No, that doesn't mean having the freedom to choose shoes is crazy.
dgdfhfghgfhgfgffjhj 3 months ago
@dgdfhfghgfhgfgffjhj im not playing any sort of card. Im in the middle of the road when it comes to this. There is nothing wrong with encouraging people to educate themselves on the risks and rewards of something and how something works. I stand by my position that this must be a choice and that it is unconstitutional for it to be otherwise

@TheErikHughes I somewhat agree with you but if others get vaccinated only the fools who didn't would get the disease. It should be a choice but to spread this kinda propaganda (like the video) above is silly.
2AProductions 2 months ago
@TheErikHughes Excuse me? How the hell would I even get the diseases anyway? I am vaccinated myself and so is my kid to a certain degree. I have religious reservations about a few because they contain aborted fetal tissue. If you and yours are vaccinated then you wouldnt have to worry about getting those preventable diseases. We live here in the United States where we still have freedom to choose what goes into our bodies. Move to china where its forced if you dont like it.
saiyajinmillina 2 months ago
@TheErikHughes If your wonderful vaccines are so effective, what do you have to fear from the unvaccinated?
M1ssDiagnosis 2 months ago
@M1ssDiagnosis Most vaccines are 90-95% effective, so 1 in 10-20 people who are vaccinated will still catch it if they are exposed, unlike those who are unvaccinated who will catch the disease at a much higher rate. Most people who are vaccinated and catch something have caught it from someone who was not. That is the issue.
TheErikHughes 2 months ago
@saiyajinmillina - You're an idiot, then. There's nothing in the constitution that says you're allowed to endanger the entire population because you think there's antifreeze in the vaccine.
RichRobust 2 months ago
@RichRobust I never said anything about antifreeze now did I? Way to fabricate something I never said. Theres also the line in the bill of rights about life and liberty and such liberty includes the right to choose what goes into ones body. Do you condone forcing medical procedures on people? If you do then you are living in the wrong country.

samwiltzius 10 months ago
This is great. Did you even watch the ad? - it did not say "Don't vaccinate." It said "Know the risks." As in, what's wrong with a little knowlede? Or basically learn about what your kid is getting stabbed with. I have no problem with your child getting vaccinated if you have knowingly decided that, but don't force 36+ untested shots on my growing child before the age of 6. What is more reckless -knowledge, or trusting big pharma?
baarrygibb 10 months ago
@baarrygibb Their whole M.O. is staunchly anti-vax; the fact that their ad only says "know the risks" is so that they can maintain plausible deniability while introducing fear and doubt into the minds of people who don't know better. Selling people on this junk science and paranoia is dangerous.
BTW you slip in the word "untested" very casually -- what evidence do you have that ANY vaccine, let alone ones given to little kids, is actually untested in ANY sense?
Falco98 10 months ago
@Falco98 You're absolutely correct, I very carelessly used the word "untested," and I wouldn't want to spread that notion. What I meant was... under-tested? The big pharm companies test the crap out of their vaccines, but regardless of the testing, the vaccines still have a very strong (but like you might point out, unproven) correlation to rise in childhood conditions. When vaccines began being enforced in the 70's, 1 in 2,500 children developed autism. Today, 1 in 150!! From what?
baarrygibb 10 months ago
@baarrygibb Re: autism rates increasing -- the experts I've heard speak on the matter point out that Autism was not always diagnosed the same, and recently gaining attention. My point is that the rates of occurrence may well be exactly the same as 30, 40 and 50 years ago, just that back then, labels like "dull", "stupid" or "retarded" were used instead of "autistic" or developmentally challenged, etc.
Also, even if rates are genuinely increasing, vaccines are not the only possible factor.
Falco98 10 months ago
@Falco98 I agree with much of what you have stated but the sheer numbers of vaccines and the toxins that are in the syringes for preserving, stabilizing and triggering adjuvants are overwhelming to young children's channels of elimination, there is simply too many toxins and too large amounts for many children's bodies to effectivelly deal with.
Libertarian369 10 months ago
@Falco98 So while some kids can and do receive the full vaccine schedule with seemingly no ill effects others who are already predisposed to neurological and or immunological issues are greatly impacted by this toxic slew
Libertarian369 10 months ago
@Falco98 Don't know if you received my last reply, although I really do hate youtube debates - neither of us is going to change our views. I do have to say that in discussing the ad, it appears to be responsible: "know the risks," instead of "do not get vaccines." Our govt and healthcare system does the exact opposite - do you recall the Swine Flu "epidemic" that was nothing more than a mild flu strain? Talk about paranoia- "Get the shot, or else!" And you think this ad will cause paranoia?
baarrygibb 10 months ago
@baarrygibb The problem with the ad is it encourages people to visit two websites known to be full of propaganda and misinformation (for short, "Woo"). People exposed to such BS will often get lured in by the seductive ideas of scapegoating a broad-spectrum disease like autism onto some 'easy target' like Vaccines, and be fully on board before it ever occurs to them to be skeptical or get a different angle. I'm not against people getting the truth, but that's not the real intent of this ad.
Falco98 10 months ago
@Falco98
