What needs to happen is a grassroots campaign to get parents more involved in their children's development and stop depending on public institutions to do it. THEN, we need to erect our own school systems with our own curriculum and standards. If any of you have read the book, the first chapter pretty much lays it plain why so many of our children fail miserably in the Euro-standard school systems.

I have all of Dr. Kunjufu's books. I work with Black children and have grown up in Black communities (although I am not Black). I absolutely love his work and I want to meet him 1 day. He is fantastic!!
