How come after flashing the CM7, my memory card isn't showing its contents on the phone? I thought it was a mistake i made when i flashed yesterday so I started from scratch because the problem still existed when i flashed ICS 4.0.3 for the Cappy last night..
I followed this video and I have ICS loaded onto my captivate. HOWEVER, I now have no signal. Anyone have any ideas? I thought the radio/modem was supposed to be untouched during the process.
@southparkgdp Okay... I ODIN'd back to Eclair and tried it again. I know the video says to just pull the battery during the cyanogen mod stage, BUT WAIT. Let it load up and make sure your call manager and radio are working first. The nightly build from cyanogen was bad. After running the captivate STABLE rom, it worked. I then followed the rest of the video instructions on to ICS and SUCCESS!!
I can't get my phone to show the files that are on the root of the internal SD card. My phone IS rooted and I followed all directions correctly. I get a "signature" error. I re-rooted and still get the same result
Ya jig doesn't work, connecting usb doesn't work, computer doesn't even respond to phone being plugged in. Just completely unresponsive. Gonna try to send it to mobiletech and see if they can debrick it. Then try again lol
@mooneyb123 Appreciate it. I use the thrill now but gave the cappy to my gf who was running an old MIUI and battery started being terrible. Was trying to update for her. I'll try and use your video again if I can get it fixed. Looks informative and I'm sure I'm one of those 1 in some odd thousand random hard brickers lol
@mooneyb123 Most awesome thing, randomly got my phone in download mode with the jig finally and finally was able to flash ICS on it. Thanks for all the help and great video tutorial!
@Rabidaries Sweet man. I was thinking about it when I went to sleep last night and i was going to suggest that maybe your battery just totally played out during the Odin, and getting a new one might get you in business. Glad its working.
Ya flashing KH3 froze in odin and perma bricked my cappy. Soft bricked a bunch before but it's not responsive to charges, dl mode, connecting to a computer nada. RIP Cappy
