i've been playing alto for about 3 weeks and i play just a liitle better, no ofence. It's sonds like u have too much air in you reed.

it sounds werid because you didnt tune it, and make sure ur ligature is behind the reed and hugging the little wood finish of the back of the reed its self, AND try taking more mouthpiece and practice a new type of omnisure, i spelled it wrong omnisure is like a different way of positioning your mouth and keep your jaw dropped :)

for one get a new reed, two get saxophone lessons, three take off the nail polish, four i could play better my first time playing it and i sounded like if i hade years and years of lessons and traning

but u gotta not force playing an instrument unless ur doing a scale. that should be the only time u have to force notes. i suggest u stop playing saxophone, and play something like the trumpet, or tuba. to play the saxophone u have to play it like u really want too. and it seems like u dont

hey its misssaxmaster on my freinds account, i know it was so slow and everything, and i know it totally sucks! i didnt know the speed, it didnt say how fast to play it. thanks for all the SUPPORTIVE comments, lol haha im gonna upload a new video of this and others to prove how much better i am now, sorry for the bad speed and quality, but i really was new at it and i'm 1st chair alto now so i can promise you this is not how i play anymore. sorry for the disappointment :/

Uhh i play the sax and its not the reed i put new reeds in all the time nd they work fine. And your suppose to play way faster and in one breath. the way i know is because i play it all the time and i have a sax.
