@sammynick04 Referring to the 195s right? What exactly are you looking for? It won't ski switch as well as some skis. It has a pretty one directional shape but if you are a bigger guy looking for a stout ski that's 110-120 in the waist a S7 Pro is hard to beat. The only other skis similar that i can think of are a 193 Bent Chetler & a 189 Obsethed. Out of the 3 it's the only one w/ metal in it so it will hold up to bigger dudes.
Let us know what you are looking for. We want to help,
@videosbyevo im looking for a ski that is mid to fat about 90mm waist. i was looking at the rossi s7 super's "little brother" the s7 pro's. i want a ski thats good on every type of trial and that can hold up in the park as well. im about 5' 10" 135 lbs.
@sammynick04 The skis behind Ben in the video are the standard S7. The S7Pro might be a good ski for you but I imagine that you will probably fill out a bit of the next year or so and may want a ski that you can grow with. What have you been skiing on? The S7 Pro junior ski is the same as the original S3 before they added rocker and changed the shape last year. Based on your weight i would recommend the 160cm size for you.
@videosbyevo thanks for the insight, i really appreciate it. i had been skiing on the atomic izor's for a couple of years now and they have gotten a little small at 150cm. i went with the s7 pro's and got a great deal at my local ski shop. $550 for ski's, bindings and poles and i went with the 160 as you recommended
@sammynick04 Yeah! Nice work. You will like those a lot. Good for everything a modestly wide waist at 90 will make take you everywhere from pow to cruising groomers to laps in the park.
@sammynick04 You may also want to look at the newer S3. Its a bit wider with rocker tip and tail. I would recommend the 168 because it skis a bit shorter. If you look around online you may be able to find last years 168 for about $50 more than this season S7 Pro. If you are looking for an all mountain rockered ski this would be a great choice or the Kung Fujas from K2.
@videosbyevo i went with the s7 pro's. i got a great, $550 for ski's bindings and poles. couldn't pass on that deal. thanks for the help, i appreciate it
@AmaziinqVids Both the JJ and the S7 are great skis with similar design concepts. The JJ is a little more bi-directional, if you are looking to use the skis for any freestyle but both will be insane for deep snow and in the trees. The tail of the S7 is a little narrower so more taper and directional. You won't go wrong with either just get on it soon because both those skis are extremely hot this year.
@AmaziinqVids the Blizzard One is gonna be in the next narrower category of all mountian twin tips. It's slimmed down in the waist making it something that can handle moguls to park to crud. It lacks the same flotation but makes up for it in versitility. Other skis that may be similar to One may be the Coax from Atomic, the TST from Armada, the S3 from Rossi or Kung Fujas from K2. All are geared towards skiing everywhere on the hill with a bit of freestyle thrown in. Does that help?
@AmaziinqVids Ben loves his S7s for all conditions and everywhere on the mountain. The thing that makes the S7 so ideal in the trees is the taper in the tail. The tail is narrower than most other skis in this category. The advantage of the tapered tail is that it makes the tail a little more loose and maneuverable allowing you to vary your turn shape that much easier. In trees that is nice because every turn is a different shape.
