  • Give me a shed anyday. These old 37`s are just too weak, noisey and under powered. im a main basher of 66`s, ive had over 30 you know, not many can beat that.

  • Ahh, the unmistakeable exhaust note of an English Electric! Music to my ears...motor music, that is. Thanks for posting friend and cheers from across the pond.

  • Lovely

  • Nothing quite like serious 12CSVT thrash, thanks :)

  • Oh wow !!!!!!!

  • Beautiful viaduct, great engine. Liked.

  • MY LORDZ!!!!

  • ye gods, overloaded, wonderful, cheers.

  • @noelist No probs;-)

  • It was booked for a single 37/7 to take 28 loaded HAAs over Porthkerry viaduct at that time. Superb slow hard work it was too. I recall two trespassers walking in front of 37895 as it entered the viaduct causing the train to stop. The noise was immense as the train re-started without a single slip but it was very loud. Superb video by the way!

  • I live looking onto the Vale line as we call it and I do miss the sound of these loco's

    Especially at night!!

  • Superb how i miss 37's pulling heavy freight making these nice thrashy sounds:)

  • There are many great utube videos out there but this takes some beating. Loads of colour, lighting, character, composition and sound. A hard working loco in an idyllic setting and intelligent use of sound does it for me, showing the railways doing what they do best!

  • @smleonard55 Many thanks

  • Now THAT is thrash!

  • Absolutely superb, the 66's that now use this line don't come anywhere near the 37 for spectacle....Thanks for this one...Bob

  • @robmasterman Thanks Bob

  • Best of British traction thrashing over great british engineering, makes me sad that we did so much and now so little. Fabulous clip though, great sound !

  • @dieselmanmike So true Mike, Thanks for checking it out.

  • Great stuff - straight to "Favs" - Thanks for sharing!

    Mike

  • Fantastic sound! Stu

  • Great! Reminds me of shopping in Liskeard and missing a China Clay coming up from the workings (forget the name) and the sound was all over the town! . . . Alan

  • @balmesh That,ll be Moorswater, yep its a massive climb from there to Liskeard.

  • To MrStapletonRoad

Yes, got it in one. Not sure if it's still open but it was a beaut of a climb, they had to split the train into two for a start.

  • That's what I call a MGR coal train! Seemed to go on forever, surprised a Class 37 could shift it, just proves how awesome they are!

  • @kevatcrewe Too right.

  • Splendid wheel slip at 18 seconds. Absolutely DREADFUL! Top notch stuff if you'll excuse the pun!

  • @Bish66 Cheers bud,

  • Truely stunning.

  • @HSTHoward Thanks Howard.
