Yes,You need a much stonger magnet.They sell the Button Type Neodynes 4 to the pack at Wal Mart in the Arts & Crafts Section for about $3.75. They are fragile & won't take an impact without breaking, buy they would snatch that BB right of there if it's the slightest bit Ferrous. Some them are NonFerrous so Magnets would be of little use to You. You could take a Scapel or a Lancet to it & cut the Wound on one or two sides to open it up & allow You to Pry Out the BB or get a Hemo Stat onto it!

@NinthPigeonhead because it was made of steel, an iron alloy, that can be attracted by magnets, and in the right conditions, be magnetized. the bb it'self was not magnetic, it was the small neodymium magnet doing the work.
