I noticed. I'm not the only one who thinks it's a bear though. I guess the only way to get to the bottom of this is to contact the cartoonist and ask what he meant it to be. I doubt if that will ever end up happening, though.
The old Sesamee Street Cartoon brings back alot of memories when i was kid watching them during 1970s and early 1980s era whoever posted this Thanks for the Memories ! God bless
The end used to freak me out as a kid.

The "Close your eyes... Surprise." part was always my favourite ♥

That has to be Frank Oz as the bear. He sounds just like Chuck Stoat from "Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas".

What bear? I don't see a bear in this.
moatguy 7 months ago
@moatguy Right at the end, man.
Garrettk41 7 months ago
Thank You. No it wasn't a bear. It was a rat.
moatguy 7 months ago
Are you sure about that?
Garrettk41 7 months ago
Well have you ever seen a bear with a nose that pointy?
moatguy 7 months ago
@moatguy No, but on the other hand, have you ever seen a rat as large as that?
Garrettk41 7 months ago
Well a lot of other users here agree it's a rat.

I like the big rat at the end. I wish I could bring himto my house to stay with me. Not even my cats would go after him.

This video is broken. Craps out halfway through.

Does anyone have a cleaner version of this?

(1:22) Wow, that ending is almost like something out of a twisted nightmare!

I see on the "Kids Favorite Country Songs" they redubbed the bear's voice at the end.

@MarshalGrover They must've done that to make the bear seem less scary... he was already pretty freaky-looking to begin with!

I remember this one as a kid. The big rat at the end surprised me too! :O

No it's not.

I don't know who does voice of the cowboy. But it is not Jerry Nelson. Are you thinking of the "Blowing in the Wind" parody?
