Luke Shenn is the real deal. He's shown awesome potential at just age 19 and in his first NHL campaign. Future captain potential as well. I hope Burkie can eventually sign him to a long term contract. I'd hate to lose him to free agency.

How is he dirty? To me, he plays a tough physical game where he sticks up for his guys. Plus he's really young. I think he has the potential to develop into a guy like Scott Stevens, and we all know that Scott has a few cups to his name. If he can work on his timing lining people up coming into the offensive zone, and stay healthy, he'll be our anchor for over a decade.

Well i think they need him. No matter how good the offence, you need a good defence, Tampa is a prime example. The Leafs have a good Goalie in Toskala and They are in need of a winger, unless that russian guy falls to seventh then i hope the Leafs draft Schenn, they need a physical defenseman. Their most physical defenseman is McCabe, and he only gets physical near the boards. We need someone who will take it to the opposition anywhere on the ice, particularly coming across the blueline.
