The uploader mentioned how the company videotaped this commercial rather than filming it. Being that I am a child of the eighties who does not know a whole lot about this type of technology (it took me years to get used to the Internet and emails), I do not really understand the difference. I also do not know what significance the difference has on the content of the commercial. I would be very thankful to anyone willing to explain!

@Smartboy8877 Because commercials shot on video tape instead of 35mm or 16mm film tended to look cheaper and more "stagey". Same goes for TV (for example compare two 1970s sitcoms: The 35mm film "The Brady Bunch", and the video-taped "Welcome Back Kotter". Big difference! Same applied beyond the 70s and well into the 1980s)
