  • God Bless you boys

    !!

  • The fist part of that piece from John Sheahan is called "The Wise Maid" made famous by Joe Cooley. Check him out on You Tube.

  • Lukes voice seems a bit funny here, not his best performance

  • I didn't see it mentioned anywhere, but in case someone isn't sure, the song at the beginning is known by one of (or maybe all three?) names: Doherty's Reel/Down the Broom/The Honeymoon Reel :)

  • @ShuckThatJive and wise maid which is the beginning reel

  • Is that Jim McCann with the big afro playing guitar?

  • @choaticman11 yes

  • Luke Kelly is larger than life!

  • unbelievable.....

  • The Penny Whistle makes me want to dance like a lunatic.

  • I love this piece by John Sheahan and came across it on TV a few months ago. It is my ambition to play it myself on the tin whistle! What a performer he is!!!. And of course, we can't forget out dear Luke who I never tire of listening to! He must have been pretty near the end of his life when this was recorded. My God. What a loss to the world!

  • Great to see videos from the time that Jim McCann in the Dubliners. Must be from the mid to late 70s.
