@z0mBiExHD Did you download the compatibility pack 1 and 2 if you haven't its in the DLC section. But this ace combat doesn't have the DLC screen any more in the game you have to go to the game market place actually. when you download them you should be able to find more matches.
@z0mBiExHD No they allow you to see other DLC planes and if you don't have them downloaded you cant find sessions with people who are using DLC aircraft. A new Compatibility pack is released each time new DLCs come out and compatibility packs are free.

@XecuttioneR The only two sites that graded it bad were 1UP and Gamespot (whose review was so hypocritical and self-contradictory that I am going to avoid them like herpes). Everywhere else it got upwards of 80/90% scores.
Awesome game yet after playing the demo i jsut hope they clean up the ground textures for the Heli missions buildings just dont look like they have had much attention nor detail put into them. fighter mission did make me soil myself tho, looks awesome.
If you want AC to be just like it always was, just turn off Flight Assist, set your control from Optimum to Original, and never enter dog fight mode. That simple.

The camera view for the plane is annoying. Its too close. Wish they brought back the 4th view. Pilotting the chopper is a bitch, need to do it in the first person mode.
@wolfenstine128 And for those that dont like the new controlls than they can switch them for the old ones, I think is smart couse some fans want new stuf but some still want the older style so thats why its optional to fly the way you like the most. I like normal mode so i can go long range but I will still go for the close range when I see the oportunatie.

It's good to see an attempt at innovation by Project ACES. AC6 was good, yes, but the way the missions were constructed, you spent most of your time bombing, little of it dogfighting. The missions were longer--not a bad thing, that at least meant you felt you finished something once you beat a level--but the music couldn't be as dramatic or punctuated as a result. I applaud them for adding CRA & new gameplay segments like the bombers & choppers. Even if they don't work great, they're trying.
@SterlThePearl67 Totally agree with you. From my point of view, AC series was stuck, and they really needed a reboot. I'm very glad that PA put all these new features such as the Dogfight mode, helicopters and bombers; it gives the game the non-stop breath-taking moments that AC Zero and 6 lacked of. However, there are things that I don't like about the Dogfight mode, such as the camera and the fact that they seem to be scripted, but still I appreciate the risk NAMCO and PA have taken.
@lacucaracha111111 They're two different things. There are two types of control, the "normal" mode where you use the right analog stick to turn the plane, and the "original" mode, the same as the old AC games, where you roll the plane and THEN pull down the stick to turn.
Independent of these two controls there is the Dogfight mode, activated by pressing LB and RB/L2 and R2 when close to an enemy, where you automatically follow the enemy and attack him with gunfire and high-accuracy missiles.
@SterlThePearl67 The bombers look ok, the helicopter missions look great. The dogfighting sucks because it takes away the skill with the dfm. I really want to have my fucking arcade simulator back rather than a 3rd/1st person shooter. Ace Combat 7 next time please, not fucking continuation of the series reboot to open it to newbs. Please make the aces like they were in Zero, where they didn't have ways to break the laws of physics but were a bitch to take down. That is Ace Combat. That is fun.
@DragonTwister11 Ace Combat was never a simulator. And there is skill in Dog Fighting Mode. Sure there maybe slightly linear but not as linear as people say it is. If this series had skills I would have pulled off a Cobra Maneuver on Yellow Squadron years ago. Going back to the original formula would put the final nail in Ace Combats Coffin. do you really want Ace Combat to die off that easily? The Arcade flight games are a dying breed. It needed some fresh Air for a change.

Ace Combat has a niche and can always sell to it. Expanding it into a arcade shooter rather than an arcade simulator nearly killed the series. AC is about the single player not multiplayer. @Bred2Protect I guess. In some ways Strangereal's history was interesting, because it's fun trying to find parallels with the real world, and noting their differences too. But I didn't enjoy Ace Combat for Strangereal itself, that's for sure.
@pkshd I think that it'll be a good change in pace from the strangereal honestly, but I always liked Ace Combat because of it's fantasy countries that linked to real world countries. The Belkan War in my opinion was a complete replica of the 2nd World War, haha.

@DragonTwister11 Ace Combat was never a simulator. And there is skill in Dog Fighting Mode. Sure there maybe slightly linear but not as linear as people say it is. If this series had skills I would have pulled off a Cobra Maneuver on Yellow Squadron years ago. Going back to the original formula would put the final nail in Ace Combats Coffin. do you really want Ace Combat to die off that easily? The Arcade flight games are a dying breed. It needed some fresh Air for a change.

@DuskForte this may be one of the single dumbest comments I have ever read on youtube. None of the longtime AC fans I have talked agree with anything you have said. Ace Combat has a niche and can always sell to it. Expanding it into a arcade shooter rather than an arcade simulator nearly killed the series. AC is about the single player not multiplayer. All the new shit they added in killed the sp but fortunately worked in the MP. The formula for the next game should be old SP, new MP.

@DragonTwister11 Why target a specific amount of people of you can target a wider audience, You and I both know the old formula is old and getting stale. This is something new. And sure the brand name is respectful in all shape and forms. But the Arcade Flight sim genre is a dying breed. Go to a game store and ask anyone in there what kind of games they play? 80% of them will say FPS. Name off several flight games on console? You show me a Real fan, And ill show you a liar.

@DuskForte What do you mean by "real fan?" The gameplay for single player was absolute shit and was not fun at all. Like I said FPS's nowadays are all about the online gimmicks, not so much the single player. Ace Combat could have easily survived if it stayed the way it was. Namco didn't do it exactly right there first attempt next gen and fucking panicked. As I said, if they really want to have a great game keep the old style SP for old fans and new style MP, b/c it actually works only there.

DFM is optional. i can beat the game with or with out the DFM mode. it is the same as the older Ace Combat. you tell me why should they bring back the older style. convince me why should they. Again don't get me wrong I love the older formula hell I still play Air Combat. If Assault Horizon really is doing poor they would go back to its roots. other wise I see it just fine.

For you green horns complaining that this new Ace Combat is too CoD-like, I applaud that they are actually giving us this scenario of how the world could fall into chaos, where even the sky is raided and covered in aircraft with dogs like us fighting for air supremacy. It might look like CoD to some, but all I see is an opportunity to fly among allies and compete against others in an honorable manner of fair competition. @Bred2Protect I guess. In some ways Strangereal's history was interesting, because it's fun trying to find parallels with the real world, and noting their differences too. But I didn't enjoy Ace Combat for Strangereal itself, that's for sure.

@pkshd I think that it'll be a good change in pace from the strangereal honestly, but I always liked Ace Combat because of it's fantasy countries that linked to real world countries. The Belkan War in my opinion was a complete replica of the 2nd World War, haha.
I'll be buying the game no doubt though ^_^

Heavily disappointed with the direction the series is taking (helicopters and real world). Though I'm glad they're continuing the series, and the B2 bomber parts looking fucking amazing. I'm still buying it even if it turns out crap.
