If i handed that up as homework to my art teacher he'd ask me why i didn't try harder. I think that he thinks that i'm the next da vinci because i handed up a picture of a horse i'd copied from a drawing book, so now everything i do has to be a good as that dumb horse.

Btw, eyelashes aren't like that. Just look at a real picture and you'll see. They aren't all clumped together in uniform straight lines. Just look at Mark Crilley's video on how to draw a photo realistic drawing. It really helped me. It doesn't look exactly photo realistic, but looks much better than my old drawings.

This guy is an artist???? This was a pretty decent drawing. First of all, his lines were too dark and when he was shading, they were uneven. Also, the shading of the iris just doesn't look right. There were a few other problems too. Looking at a real picture of an eye would very much help. Overall, this was ok but kinda messy. I'm not a professional, but this is just my opinion.

All the guides I've found so far about drawing eyes are displaying more of a feminine eye, but for a project in school I need to draw the eye of a man, what's the difference between these to types of eyes?? (Feminine and masculine)

Not bad, but the shading inside the eye doesn't look right, it looks almost as if the eye is irritated. Try cross hatching with more layers or try shading it without the use of cross hatching...

your video is really good. You draw really well and the way you explain and show it don't look too hard and is easy to learn. This helped me to teach some kids to draw and I learned something myself as well :)

This video actually helped me become a better artist. I drew out exactly how you showed and added my own little cute stuff here and there but it actually looks like a human eye in every detail.

@kgude - no tracing, sorry. i just take the time to pick up a pencil that is not broken, and then practice. By the pattern previously established this is not kissing your butt so i should get 2 thumbs down, right? The drawings speak for themselves. You just work with what you've got, right?

this is a good tutorial for someone who doesn't know how to draw at all. It could have been a lot better if it was blended and if he took more time. But it isn't bad for someone who wants to learn to draw versus someone who wants to improve I guess. I did like a few details you did, and will try them out I guess, but the overall product was so so.
