This game isn't bad. I think JA 2 is better but Back in Action brings new experience thanks to 3d. Only big disadventages of this game are: There is no IMP! When you enter the sector you know positions of enemies so merc commentaries like "Shh noise" are useless here. But I give this game 6/10 and will wait for next patches for this game. Who knows. They can still make this better :)

Why can we see all the enemies, even the ones downstairs? The fun of Jagged Alliance was not knowing what to expect from a mission, not knowing where the enemies were or how many you had to fight.
The lack of the fog of war ruined Back In Action much more than the lack of a turn-based combat.
Akella could not handle making a decent JA3 game so they decided to give up on it, the same should've happened with BC. You need a big investment to keep the standards from the previous series, you cant just buy the production rights and make a JA game within 1-2 years with a small software company, specially if you don't give a crap to fans advises. BC, you and this game will fail!
I have never played this game. But, I have played Commandos strategy games (World war 2 based game). This looks a little similar. But since its turn based, I think the tactics involved would be more daring. Looking for forward to it. :)

Screw up and you're gonna be left out in the open trying to dodge bullets.Save points and you will shoot on enemy's turn
This game and the X-Com series defined the genre of Turn-Based Strategy. Silent Storm was a modernized (yet alternate historical (set in WWII - minus the Panzerkleins) version of Jagged Alliance/Xcom.The JA series was more complicated in the battle department whereas the X-Com series was more focused on Research and Development. Base Construction, and Economic woes. Also the characters in X-Com were cardboard cutouts (they even looked the same!) but JA mercs had personality!
@DigitalMercury you've got to remember, x-com was made before nstc was possible, so yes, it looked crappy, i'm not saying that it's a rip off of silent storm, that would be ludicrous, like trying to say that half life ripped off halo (yes, some people make that assumption.) I don't know why you are so pessimistic about this new game. You don't really know this game and have the opinion that the game can't replace JA2.Many old games aren't replaceable but the trailer shows a good grafic, nice fight system (from the hip, aim the head etc.) and who knows, that the story could be very good for a new game.
The game is in a good 3d. BE5 and 7,62 are the expamples for good fight system in 3d view. I know that those games haven't a good story and the grafic is bad but

Fisrt of all the cinematic was unneccesary. It was meant to impress, but it lacks the graphics that we have become accustomed to. Secondly, the editing was also horrible. Lastly, I could really go for a trailer which doesnt have some narrator talking in the background. This trailer is crap, and wont get people to buy it.

Fisrt of all the cinematic was unneccesary. It was meant to impress, but it lacks the graphics that we have become accustomed to. Secondly, the editing was also horrible. Lastly, I could really go for a trailer which doesnt have some narrator talking in the background. This trailer is crap, and wont get people to buy it.
