  • This is actually why the Garand was superior, in reloading at least, only problem there was the loud "PING" when the clip ejected.

  • Im sure someone has told you, just too lazy to look. The .303 is a rimmed cartridge so while in the magazine if the lower round is forward of the upper round you can get whats called "Rim lock"

  • Is this a lithgow?

  • the funny thing is he still put it on youtube

  • Dont think ur mag is the prob, Its the way u have loaded the shells.

  • problem of rimfire cartridge

  • @tny0061 The .303 isn't rimfire

  • @tny0061 it's a rimmed centerfire cartridge, not a rimfire...

  • @jubbles2343 thanks! tried tweaking the lips and it fixed all feeding problems! wooooo so stocked! i love this rifle even more now!

  • @20thcenturyfilmdocs thanks, got mine for 80$ from a friend. he never cleaned the thing and used the old cordite super erosive and corrosive ammo...the barrel was so full of stuff that you could only see a hole the size of a .22 through the barrel haha. so i took the whole thing apart and cleaned every little part of it and now i can get 2inch groups at 50 yards with it...not sniper status, but will sure work!

  • Very nice...I've been planning to add a smelly to my collection, but they are soooo hard to find in decent condition....Cabellas just opened, and they have one for $399, but it's a dog!

  • @20thcenturyfilmdocs I'll sell you mine if you are interested.. I have a no.4 Mk.1

  • @jubbles2343 yes, that's exactly what happening! the round keeps jumping up and hitting the top of the receiver. so what exactly do i tweak? the magazine lips? and if so then how? (make them tighter or looser?) the rounds were staked properly (loaded them in one by one to make sure) thanks for the advice by the way.

  • you don't need a new magazine for it, Is the round jumping up and not feeding into the chamber properly? If so all it takes is a pair of pliers and a little tweaking to ensure the correct feeding. Likewise stacking the rounds properly.

  • @jubbles2343 pleasse advise on how to do this?
