i like it how all the Apple People always shouts "my Mac is 1000times better than your Pcs" and the Pc People shouts " your macs are gay and you cant work with it" and when i hear someone talkin about Linux i always hear "you cant play on linux or whatever" Listen here . I have a crappy Pc and i Use Linux and Windows and my brother got a Mac. I have to say. If you are new on a Computer than Mac might be the solution , if your a bit better you might choose a Windows Pc. I prefer Linux. Its handy
@CharlesP2009 it is not SO MUCH time. i waste just 30 minutes for antivirus, so my resources are reduced for only that time. and for clutter remove it is 15 minutes every month. and clutter remove requires a small amount of resources. I prefer wasting 45 minutes of my life rather than giving $500 more to buy a mac with the same specs...
i think these things are funny. better yet the comments.... what i would like to know out of curiosity is what's so special about osx (whatever version is out now) and what is so horrible about windows. so far all i've seen is macs can run windows and osx so by default mac users assume they're better and pc users say we can game. that's about the gist of the arguments. so what does make macs better than windows? i don't think i'm missing anything with windows 7... just saying...

For me OS X is a cleaner operating system. It's capable of everything Windows can do yet it's simpler and less cluttered, better designed. The biggest advantage is not needing to waste resources running an Antivirus program so Macs are snappier than Windows. I like the design and the way things are done on the Mac. To me Windows has so much unnecessary junk slapped all over.
@CharlesP2009 honestly as a windows user, i don't know how much simpler it can be. i have not issues with operating it. it terms of resources, i've ran without antivirus and with antivirus running. with the right program, you really don't notice much if any difference. you are prolly referring to bloat ware with the to much junk thing. that's not hard to get rid of my friend and retail copies don't have it at all. hell i thought i was missing something great. they do the same things pretty much.
@kattejuice Actually, there are upgrades. The difference is that it upgrades to an improved version of the exact same OS, so the drivers still work fine. Of course, it also means that Apple takes no risks but ehhhhhhhh...

upgrading mac for dummies. things youl need: tissues, a shotgun, more fucking $2000s, and a desk. 1) place your Mac on the desk 2) point your shotgun on the mac. 3) say goodbye 4) pull the trigger (use tissues afterwards if necessary) 5) get your money ready. 6) get a new mac 7) repeat each month 8)???? 9) NOW UR BROKE! Well, there's more reasons than just that, and I must admitt pc wins over compatibility and it's easier ability to upgrade. That's about all I'm giving it though, and I've looked at both sides for quite some time.

Driver support for Vista is much better than XP.
One day I plugged a random printer into my laptop, Vista did it's thing, and the printer was ready to use.
