  • @CarstenOepping O' and by the way calling me an idiot on this subject is very funny and also gets you banned from other posts.

  • @CarstenOepping Actually Auschwitz was 3 camps with several supporting camps. Auschwitz II-Birkenau was actually the extermination camp. Extermination Camps like Terblinka, Chelno and Sobibor where killing centers

and once completing there assignments blown-up. Camps like Bergen-Belsen where concentration camps not extermination camps. Obviously crimes against humanity where committed there. The American's called their concentration camps re-location centers.

  • Part of the reason for US isolationism early in the war was that Hitler was killing Communists and Jews by the truck load. At the time the USA was still quite anti semitic and pretty much hated Communists, so except for bombing the Brits we weren't too excited about fighting Hitler's war machine. We eventually came around but I still wonder when we would have finally got into the war had the Japanese not bombed Pearl Harbor...

  • In defence of neutral countires like Sweden and Switzerland, without them far fewer refugees would have been able to escape German controlled territory

During the war, Britain and America refused to accept many refugees from German territories lest they contain spies.

Also, Sweden in particular provided secret training for Norwegian and Danish troops in exile, and helped evacuate nearly the whole Jewish population of Denmark into Sweden.

  • @krevno THat's nice we fought your battles 2 times.

  • @2bn442RCT how sad for krevno , to compare the ultimate sacrifice to pacifist thinking... there is no defence... the whole world refused to take refugees. Or to stop the devil when he was weak.. now we have a new ignorance, supported by zombie pacificist.. russia is still communist, china is still communist, now usa has no representation ?? no voice.. wake up.. Japanese wmd chinese...

  • Well Sweden didn't accept many refugees during the WW2, especially if they were Jewish. Swedish Jews had to have a "J" in their documents, that was done to keep their "neutrality" with the Nazis. Sweden was selling rubber and steel to the Nazis and also allowed Nazi troops to enter its territory so that they could attack Norway from the north. Today "neutral" Sweden is selling high-tech weapons to both India & Pakistan.

  • Unlike the US and the USSR, Sweden made it a point of policy not to sell weapons to Nazi Germany. They only refused co-operation where they could make a difference.

Almost all the Jews of Denmark were got out to Scandinavia and Britain while the German Navy looked the other way. You can look it up. The Jews met with discrimination and suspision in Sweden, but they were alive, and free to go on.

  • @krevno No.. I dont know with the Denmark, but in Norway, people emigrated to Great Britain to become soldiers. Norwegians who didt'nt wanna fight and just wanna escape, or people uncabable to fight traveled often to Sweden instead of the British island.

    Sweden trained no norwegians.

And Gestapo had a lot of power in Sweden, iven when Sweden was neutral.

That is one of the reasons why conservative, political war-veterans dislike Sweden.

  • Propagenda to justify and motivate the soldiers and also to let the us citizen to sponsor the war.

  • No regime is perfect including the allies but to say that the reason the nazis are potrayed as horrible is because the allies won the war is inaccurate. Look at all the first hand accounts of how it was to live in Germany under the reich. The only way one could claim the nazis were the good guys was if you are anti democracy. The problem with this video is it's potrayal of the soviet regime as a good regime but you kind of had to because if not Americans would have less motivation to fight.

  • Just remember this is posted as propaganda. And also remember that Churchill was stated: " that Democracy is the worst possible form of government. Except for all the others."

  • I guess you people don't have any concentration camps in your countries which you can can visit and commemorate the death of your family members. I'll instantly notice the difference between a free society and a Nazi society if you look at a tidy oven designed to dispose of peoples dead bodies and think that somewhere at its bottom lied the ashes of those captured people

  • @HotelLambert I hate to say USA had concentration camps for Japanese/American citizens in World War II.

  • American propoganda at its best!

  • Its excellent DAMN NAZIS IM SIGNING UP!

  • US was the only country that came to the rescue of the world. However, all these films just show how the axis powers just learnt dirty tactics from the biggest thugs of all mankind, " THE BRITISH". They looted our country for 200 yrs with the same divide and rule. I wish india had allied itself with the US long time back. The dirty tactics of the axis were demonstrated by british some 100 yrs before WWII, both in Aisa and North America. They never even said sorry for all their crimes!

  • @stalat

i don´t now where you come from, but in germany people like you are imprisoned...

    fascism isn´t an opinion, it´s a crime!

  • @ 2:42

I'm not certain how small Norway & Sweden are &/or how exactly "neutral" Sweden was during WWII. They were usually tacitly pro-Axis thru most of the war.

  • Sweden let the world fight for democracy and reaped the benefits. Sweden's conduct during WW2 is disgraceful.

  • They did let the Germans army march through, after all.

  • POLISH

  • energetic fun smart and loves this video

I NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO Wf

  • great video.

but everyone remember that it is the winners that decide history. if germany won WW2, we would know today that the nazis were the freedom fighters, and the allies as the surpressors of freedom.

  • Yes thats very true. I uploaded this to demonstrate the mentality of the USA in 1942. Although, thank Christ the Allies won!

  • Funny how many people say this, when we already know the Nazi ideology: racial superiority, brutality, oppression, control, no freedoms for individuals, no fair trials, no political freedom. It's not just because the Allies won that these things are know - they are well-documented in German archives too.

  • how do you know that the allies didnt go back and change the archives. who'se to stop them? now you got those ideas because you learned them in school, through media, and in english books. germans could have easliy wrote down that the allied nations stoped the nazis from ridding the world of evil. and of course if they won we would all go with what they say, just like we go with what the allies said after the war.

i dont support the ides of fascism, im just saying winners decide history.

  • No, I've read them in German books too, not to mention Russian and French ones. What about the Nazis tried after the war, many of whom openly admitted things? What about the countless videos and photos - all made up were they? The pre-war Nazi era was one of brutality and oppression, and we know this not from 'English' history books but from the Nazis themselves - they made no secret of it because they trumpeted it as much as they could.

  • russia and france were both allied naions. and about the nazis that confessed, well when your in a room filled with allied generals trying you for a death sentence, you'll say anything they want you to.

prewar germany was a time of reconstruction. hitler literarily brought the country out of the worst depression into one of the most powerful nations. so i give him props for that, not hate him for false allegations.

and im curious about these german "books." care to give a couple of names?

  • Yup - Sybille Steinbacher. I read the translations, which I'm sure were made up too. So you think the detailed accounts of WW2 given by former participants were all made up under duress?

In any case, I understand the sentiment behind 'history is written by the victors'. There is a lot of truth to it. But you're still not getting that the Nazis THEMSELVES openly encouraged hatred of other races and nations, because they were not ashamed of it. I'd love to know what these 'false allegations' are.

  • not all of it, of course their hatred towards the jew is obvious, but thats it. but tell me, who hasnt hated the jews? since their biginening, every other race, culture, etc. have hated them. after ww2, the allies didnt want the jews so they shoved them into the middle east. but uh oh, looks like they dont like the jews either.

hitler hated them because although it was their country, the jews were somehow the upper class and the germans were poor. so he didnt like his own counrtymen suffer.

  • I agree winner write history

  • bravo, but im sry to hear about the channel i watched many many many videos there. sucks that youtube isn't for people who take ww2 education seriously as we do.

  • GDHouston isn't dead yet.lol

  • are some :)

  • LMFAO @ 3:16...They should have made this screen shot (@ 3:16)the cover for the Why We Fight series!

  • Heh, those "silent guns" of Norway sunk a German heavy cruiser in Drøbak Sound, allowing the Norwegian to escape into exile. Kind of a big deal...

  • "The whole British Commonwealth of Nations.."

Hmm, could that mean a British hegemony, as in imperialism..? And don't forget the French Empire and other European run possessions. With the Atlantic Charter of 1941 FDR managed to push the British towards dismantling it's grip on other nations, though France brutally reasserted it's hold after WW2 as soon as it was liberated. Also FDR & Churchill set it up for Stalin to stay in USSR "liberated" states.

    Geopolitics is kinda slimy, no...?

  • well it's best the Russians stay where they belong...out of Europe.

  • Russians have to decide when they want leaders who aren't paranoid liars and back that up with a big change in how they are governed.
