Easy.  It was 280 hp stock and has a few bolt ons. STOCK engine.

the mark VII had a pretty powerful v8, better than the mustangs of that time but i heard they had some kind of problem and werent very reliable.. anyone know anything about this?

from my understanding...it had nothing to do with the motor...it was that god forsaken airbag set up. luckily, my older than dirt mark vi has regular shocks...but a suck 302 with efi. CRAP hello 331...welcome to my lincoln...

does anyone know why it is that most people just do a underdrive crank pulley and not the waterpump or alternator? Isnt a kit for a 96-98 cobra a direct fit? Any info would be a huge help

Do your home work these cars came with the 4.6 DOHC Cobra engine. I do have an actual 98 Cobra engine in this very car and I shifted into 2nd at 7k, this motor can live at 7k bro, do some research before you want to come over here and start posting non factual statements. This engine has a 6 bolt main, no rod's going anywhere! LOL!! Your the one who is kidding, kidding yourself that is.
