question what about the salts in the water? how is this going to work , and why are we not using it right now on the spill off of louisiana. i've seen all of paul's work i actually have some stamets 7 sittin in my cupboard.
@ogskeetdizzle - Not Paul S, and a year later,,, but Paul Staments has demonstrated that the strain of oyster mushrooms he is working with is effective in salt water. Grown on matts of straw, I believe, within hemp 'sicks' or sacks. I do wonder why they used human hair (highly contaminated) over waste sheep wool, alpaca wool/fiber, etc. Though I do know that a LOT of alpaca wool/fiber was donated to help clean the Gulf of Mexico spill.
maybe a stupid idea, but: how about a johnny apple seed approach to using mushrooms to clean up the BP mess?
if people could just introduce these mushrooms, nature will take care of the rest...
