The Malayalam movie had a simpler storyline. And was much more elegantly presented. We have noticed that with every Bollywood remake of South Indian movies, the directors exhibit their firm belief in the low taste of the Hindi-speaking audience. So they just put in dollops of masala and cheapen down the film. This is sheer contempt for the audience that is their paymaster. And disrespect for their art. Insulting both Saraswati and Lakshmi in one stroke is indeed an achievement!
U kno wut I noticed sumthing 2.South indian directors who make hindi films have this south indian flavour 2 the story, even if the story is not based in the south. Also there r sum really cheesy n stupid scenes(not saying their arent any in movies by other directors). But there is this cheesy flavour in sum scenes that hints at a south indian director. Like when rajpal yadav gets cured among others.Ur explanation made sense out it,
I wish they wouldn't dumb it down cuz it makes it seem as if they aren't capable of anything better (since ppl like me haven't seen a lot of south indian movies), which I am sure they r. I know there are ppl who prefer masala films cuz deeper things can't penetrate their thick skulls but a lot us hindi movie watchers do appreciate well done cinema. I enjoyed the concept of this movie but silliness seriously needed to b cut down n i m not talking about the comedy.
@Jayadevan456 I don't who the director of the movie is, or if he is south indian or not, but I felt this movie sucked big time...it was stuck in like 80's era still and had a stupid storyline and execution, very primitive and not up to expectations. anyways those were my thoughts when watching the movie.
@jasminek86 i'm pretty sure even if it was "primitive" like you say then the stupid only for profit movies that make up about lets say 90% of bollywood is a lot worse i don't get why these directors all like to make their movies "silly" the plot is good, just not the acting in this movie
