youve been able to record vocals into flstudio years back before reason came with record so the folks at propellerhead actually took a logical step with record
I've had mac computers break, I have had pc computers break.. The difference is in comparison mac has been known to work flawless with no issues.. But when they go bad, they go real bad! I think cost of a PC, can compensate for headaches.. certain interfaces will work with only mac like Apogee products, but most other are adapted to both!
@demedusaacademy Well the 002 is really not my sound quality, the apogee convertors and big ben clock hold that down! but as far as quality, I would highly recommend a High end preamp with a digital out.. like the ssl alpha channel.. that's my advice
@didubz Yo you started to go into the Maschine as the base but you stopped. I need to know how I can use my maschine do death with say protools and the more info you can give me the better yo. Like you I went to the recording workshop in Ohio but like in 1993. Yo son, help me out!
@didubz - Hey man, I love this video. I was having a beer as I was listening to you. Couples of things: You never mentioned "Logic" and yes..., FL Studio ( fruity Loops, as you call it) does record vocals. I definitively support you on everything you said here. Really enjoyed it. Please do and upload more videos like this one.
@klandestino22 Thanks for the comment, really appreciate it. As the production side changes, I have to keep my hands on deck for the music mixing world, So the recording vocals in FL STUDIO SLIPPED MY MIND... And your right LOGIC is powerful. I just got back from Gearfest at sweetwater sound, sorry for the delay! God bless
@soulessdelu well acoustics are absolutely important, but most people don't understand what I am saying when I say it! I would look at the mcs1 jbl controller! I have 10 owens corning 703 pads behind my mixing desk, so yes the acoustic of a room is essential. I think it is more important to understand multiple rooms, I know engineers that spent 30k on acoustics, and there mixes aren't in the ballpark! Like rappers don't need a booth, just a deadining material behind the mic.
@metamachajonji I have never used it myself, but today. anything that is getting recognition should be suitable for recording music! pro tools is sorta industry standard for Daw's but there are alot out there that are very good! I think it is all about the engineer. Who is running the software, and yes you have to give credit to these great software designers. I am a pro tools/acid pro/native instruments/steinberg kind of guy
@didubz It's very good for mixing. Many effects that are good for a fine mix. Even mastering is not an issue in MX5. Other DAWs like FL Studio are not very good for mixing and mastering.
@metamachajonji that is how I take pro tools! I usually do my mixes in pro tools, ! I can't get myself to actually produce a song in pro tools, unless I am doing sound for a play or movie, because spotting sounds in pro tools is just easier then any other program, creating beatmapped loops is a acid pro thing, sampling a track is a native instruments maschine thing, playing keys I still love hardware, I am upgrading to a 6 core computer though, I don't like waiting for sound to load!
@didubz For sampling, MPC's are the best! Making beats by looping can also be done in Mixcraft. So, MX is fine if anyone wants to make beats for a demo or something. Otherwise, DAWs like Pro Tools & FL, or something like MPC's are sufficient
@babar141 the first thing to spend money on is a suitable computer to get familar with! because software like this can put a strain on your Computer! or go the Pci dsp card route! like pro tools hd!

THE MAIN ISSUE IS IN THE OPERATING SYSTEM!!!!!
didubz 5 months ago
@didubz
so my answer is mac or pc don't matter to me!
I have a amd 6core with 8 gigs of ram and windows 7! It is a monster..
but I also have a macbook pro that the screen busted and it has slowed over the years..
I have used 8 core macs! That where absolutely phenomenal, so to answer your question..
The bigger the better for audio...

@didubz I figured that would be the case.lol..

when buying a good computer what specs are most important to look for?
ineffect781 9 months ago
@ineffect781 well The ghz is very important,, how many cores? How much Ram?
and Fast Hardrives, These are very important,
My computer is a 6 core, 3.3ghz 8 gig of ram, and my hard drives are all 7200rpm or faster.
But ask yourself if you are using alot of internal vst plugins, you want to go all out on the computer,
I do alot of big mixing sessions, so this is pretty much a necesitty for me!
also tweaking your operating system for audio recording..

You can record vocals in FL Studio its super hard to mix though once a track is bounced down it sounds different.
