  • Nice video, after you parked your car just how many miles on foot would you say it was to the top in miles or say maybe minnutes, I climbed Mt Whitney in CA at 14,495 feet but I was 16, now I am 51 so just wondering how hard of a climb it is Thanks Greg of las Vegas

  • @gregnjoy1 about 9 hours from the car 9 miles to the top, 12 hours round trip 18 miles. better to do it in two days and camp overnight near the top in the meadows, a lot easier since the hike is very strenuous. still very manageable in one day 95% of the people we passed were just trying to peak it that day, we had 50 lbs on our backs they just had waters

  • Nice job guys! I'm headed up tomorrow morning. The last time I made the summit, was 3 weeks ago and got caught in a big storm up there. Hopefully it will be clear this time. I'll do it as a single day hike, up and down in 11 hours.

  • @fifthwind thanks man, oh thats going to be brutal.

we planned this one like a month in advance, said lets do the 3rd week in july, perfect weather, and the next week which is the one you went im guessing, stormy all week!

watch out tomorrow as i think there will be some showers.

  • Very very nice gentlemen, you did an awesome job and should be very proud of yourselves. Oh to be young and full of stamina with my Kelty pack on and hitting the trail.

  • @RVGuy1959 Oh we are, this was an awesome hike we enjoyed it a lot.
