  • How do you get a seamless finish. Showed us how to glass 2 different boards. Are the rails glassed twice?

    Cheers

  • looks like your laps are too long. specially on the nose

  • @balisong10 no it is most probably a squeegy (don't know how to spell it. it is like a rubber wax comb perfect for spreading resin.

  • and also, is that a sponge you are using to spread the res?

  • what do you mean when you say get it wet, I understand it, but wet with water or wet with resin?

  • @balisong10 wet with the resin. you want the fibger glass soaked with it. goes the same for epoxy. Resin can burn a eps foam

  • how much resin should i mix for a 5'6"

  • what do you use to add color

  • Pigment. Resin is inert by itself, add catalyst to speed up the hardening (which is also influenced by temperature and humidity--hence why shaping bays are best to build boards in).

I'm not too sure but I think Pigment is added to the resin before the catalyst is added, after the catalyst is added its now or never.
