Woody Allan could engage in a film about a time machine making it possible for him to adopt himself as a reborn child sorting out the consequences and making them plausible to us all. :-)
I love Woody's movies, but he really is a twisted pervert. Who would get with their partner of 10 years' young adopted daughter?? And leave it to Woody to go to bat for Roman Polanski for molesting a 13 year old. Polanski's victim wasn't 17. She wasn't 16. She wasn't 15. She wasn't 14. She was 13 fucking years old! It'd be like Jeffrey Dahmer fighting for Ted Bundy. "I know he was a serial killer, but he was SUCH a great person apart from that!" lol. It's so stupid.
@wilsondylanmccartney I know it's a metaphor, but no fair comparing anyone but serial killers to Dahmer and Bundy. Even with what Polanski did he'd have to do a lot worse to be like Dahmer or Bundy.
@emerpus01 I know what you mean, but Woody sticking up for Polanski is laughingly ridiculous. You know what I'm saying. How 'bout O.J. Simpson standing by Chris Brown's side for beating up Rihanna? Does that sound more realistic to you?
Some writer spent months writing the script; hundreds of people (seamstresses, light techs, camera assistants, etc) worked long days making it into a film--now you won't spend 2 (two!) dollars to rent it?

I just watched this movie, and last week Bullets Over Broadway, and they have no parallel, completly different from all the other ones I have ever seen, a genius in the details, when we think that nothing more can be said or a line or conversation is finished ;-)
If you haven't read Greek tragedy you can't understand the brilliance of this work. No one has ever re-written Euripides like this. To me, this film confirms Woody Allen as, not just a comedic genius,but a literary genius. The last scene, where the guy descends in a helicopter, is a brilliant parody of the Ancient Greek device of the "Deus Ex Machina" the "God from the machine", who puts everything right. Totally brilliant. Kudos Mr Allen!!
This is an excellent film! Mira does such a brilliant role in it! And the whole greek-tragedy setting is a fantastic idea. Now i want to see this film again.

I didn't like the first 30min of the movie, till Mira Sorvino appears!! She's absolutely hilarious!!
It is a great movie to see, if you haven't just do it. You'll love it...
