This is such a powerful song, it never fails to move me. Many people stay in abusive relationships either because they believe their abuser when (s)he says they will change, or else they confuse controlling behaviour with selfless love. On both counts they are wrong. At the first use of violence, be it physical or verbal, they should opt out while they still can. Staying with someone who is manipulative is a one-way road to emotional hell, whether or not the abuser recognises they need help.
His Hands: For God so love us that He gave; when people love they take. women please learn the difference between what we accept as love and the true love that God gives to us: here is a lesson in love for women everywhere. if you are being abuse or have been abused- that is not LOVE- get out- now!
I never heard this until now, but I was absolutely knocked out! Soul music of the very highest order. They way it transforms from a eulogy to human love to a hymn of spiritual love is deeply moving.
