It's also something that might seem very boring, but after my first session, I was amazed. I think it's like 10+ groups on the university college I go to, and the group I'm in is 5 players and one DM.

The group I'm is doing the Red Hand Of Doom at the moment and we're going a bit fast and the DM sometimes have to scale the monsters 5x to even create a challenge. Forgetting the "fly" buff when he thinks four manticores (not 5x-ed) can beat the barbarian with the 17-16-15-15-13-12 stat rolls.

It all depends upon the dungeon master (DM), but normally a DM is well aware of the rules. This video actually makes it sound much LESS complicated than it can be, but again it's all up to the DM.

It's not complicated if you're able to understand the basics. People make it out to be more complicated than it is. It's a game that calls for social skills, creativity and basic mathematics, not much else. There are peripheral rules, but they can be learned just as easy as rules in any other game.

And based on the game's mechanics, there really is no way to cheat.

Yes the math needed in the older versions was complicated and hard to memorize, but everything had a reason that it was worth so much. I just don't understand half of the number systems they added.

4.0 is pretty damn fun if you're a fan of tactical rpgs like FFTactics or Fire Emblem. Plus it's pretty damn balanced between classes instead of how it is with the older versions where spell casters could be made entirely invincible. Don't get me wrong though 3.0-3.5 is still pretty damn fun.
