I used to have this soundtrack on vinyl. Only a few of the songs are really 'listenable'. This one certainly is. The rest are really to suit scenes from the movie.
man you need to get out more often herbie is alive & well. I just purchased a greatest cd with this tune on it. Think its an import if im correct. His music does take us on a roller coaster ride. What more can we say as true fans. He is a student of the miles man!!!
very well studied. Not like today. I can imagine Mr Hancock sitting at his desk at night with a pencil and a cigarette. LOL :) much satisfaction for his hard work.
This is one of the Greatest overall soundtracks ever. I alway's talk about this soundtrack and most people don't have a clue what I'm talking about. Also, the soundtracks to "The French Connection" (1971) and to the Original Talking of Pelham 123 w/ Walter Mathau were incredible soundtracks from the 70's
Great soundtrack and this piece is awesome but not heard in the actual film. Someone else has posted the movie and the opening titles. Much different from this, give it a listen.
The actual version for the movie was a bit more eery. I liked that better.
