this is normal, i helped my neighbor do the same thing with her new born puppies. Its just to make sure there are no problems with them and make sure they crawl around normally and that they react normally. afterwards, she puts them all back together so they can get warm.

to the people who comment "puppy abuse!" or "you treat them like objects!", this is really not puppy abuse, puppies stack themselves up instinctively because they seek the warmth of the other puppies. you hear them cry when they are moved but that doesn't mean they're hurting, they just cry a lot about any move, even when the mother moves a little they cry. i think the point of the vid is just to show how peculiar the "stacking" behaviour of the puppies is. i've dealt a lot with newborn puppies.

And puppies actually like to be stacked, believe it or not. Dogs sleep in piles for warmth, safety and companionship, and they don't mind when others lay on top of them, especially when they're babies.
