  • The bottom line is... this movie does not accurately portray what was really going on in Amelia's life her last years in the U. S., especially from 1934 to 1937 before she turned up missing. It also glosses over the 1938 White House stated viewpoint to Eleanor Roosevelt, "I hope I've just got to never make it public" (Morgenthau) on the known but withheld circumstances of Earhart's 1937 disappearance. From Citizen Kane, "The people will think what I tell them to think." See 'Irene-Amelia'
