I own it and heres what I think...the servos are junk. the cone gear that drives the tail is also junk(but possibly because of the sleeve that the tail drive shaft slides into causing friction mine had corrosion...the esc is junk. the landing gear breaks easily. the plastic tube for the tail servo binds the shafts movement and burns out the tail servo. Stupid design. tall grass will take out your tail gears. Otherwise it looks cool as hell and flys pretty good ;)

My smallest CP heli is a T-Rex 250, only heading lock gyro as electronic support. That thing can be a real bitch indoors ;)

Can you explain the handling of that one compared to a T-Rex 250 or a simmilar heli?

WARNING!!!!! This is a great helicopter!! BUT.. Mine arrived with a Broken skid. So no problem they will send me a new one, no parts available yet. So I hot glue gun it for now and it is ok. Flies fantastic. Then the back Rotor shaft snaps without touching anything. Just normal take off. Lucky it was low level and just landed. I write to Walkera and Nothing not even a response. So great product. Terrible support..

But I still don't trust their tail gyros

My 4g3 and 4g6s both had tail gyro failure after a short time

Dunno if Walkera has the best helicopters but they look the most cool :) My Nine Eagles Solo Pro has no secrets for me anymore. Is the Walkera 4#6 or the flybarless a good stepup to collective pitch??

@chowmonkey2002 I own a base (no 4#6S) 4#6 and I have to reply in a resounding yes, that the 4#6 is indeed the best step to future cp flight. This is the way I have gone and even though I haven't had my 450 clone delievered yet, I know form my flight sim experience that the 4#6 is an outstanding teacher since it does have the 90 degree flybar... don't go V120DO1 fbl, not the same at all!

@stot2614 Thank you for your input. What my Solo Pro (45 degrees) heli does is correcting as much as possible to make the flying "easy". That's nice behaviour for a beginner but I consider myself a bit above this level since I really control the Solo Pro and it doesn't give me enough excitement anymore. So the 4#6S is less self correcting I assume? So more stick input needed to have it fly well? Since that is what I'm looking for. And why would the flybarless not be a good choice?

@chowmonkey2002 Any time you have a 3 axis system like you don't need (like in a 4#6S) or you do for stability reasons (like in the V120DO1), the gyro is doing at least some work for you. Bottom line is the less technology you need to aid your flight inputs, the more refined and confident you will be in the long run. Btw... my Gootch (T-Rex clone) is due to arrive around next weekend... just spoke to my dealer. Will be doing maiden vid if you'd like to view around that time. ;)
