The font isn't silly. it's bold and straightforward, easy to read and good for a project like this. The green is the same green from the movie, although with a gradient to imitate a light source. Note: I say all of this as an observer, not the creator. My one complaint is that the type moves to fast, in a project like this you want the copy to be readable for aesthetic purposes. This causes more of a dizzying effect, but it's still well done.
@asidmann My opinion is similar, but i think text must be in that speed, to go accord with voice, to have the same pattern, but yeah a bold and straight foward text is graet fot this kind of works, and my complaing is about background at beggining, maybe a different gradient could be better, but is a nice job.

@MEGAFATBOY I used a program called Twitch. It's a videocopilot plugin. Look it up, it'll do wonders. Otherwise, doing so manually is not that difficult either, it just is a lot more time consuming...
Yuhp. And more than that, the color switch from green to blue symbolizes Neo's coming into full awareness. In the movie there's a green tint in the Matrix and a blue tint in the real world. The colors used here are an attempt to reflect that...

No .... Kinetic Typography is a art. You can do this with Adobe After Effects , but ... is a lot of work here... and you must to have some ideeas how to create . isn't so easy !
The program used is Adobe After Effects. I suppose you will have to buy it. Kinetic Typography is just a style of video where words move around and follow the dialogue, lyrics, or anything you want.

and search "typography" and that'll get you some good ones. In the url above, i omitted the "." because youtube doesn't let you put in web addresses (which is smart in my opinion)
You can upload it to e.g. RapidShare com and post a link in comments or (better) in the description.
I have some experience with video effects in Adobe AE, but could learn from you on creating animated text, i.e. how you place keyframes, how you organize layers etc.
However I cannot open it in CS3 as it says it needs AE CS4, and cannot install CS4 Trial-version either... The installer crashes for some reason. Will keep trying though. I hope I'll have an opportunity to open this file sooner or later, and it may be useful for other folks too, so thank you for sharing.

I used after effects... And it's relatively simple to make. Once you learn the basics you can fiddle around with it and get some real cool effects...
