  • Labour Party's 4 live

  • I'm still voting for the tories come next election...

  • Gordon Brown talks about education but when I educate\ retrain myself, I have pay VAT at 17.5% on any course I take. When he talks about unlocking the talents of the people, he is talking about taxing the worst off who have not a cat in hells chance of getting out of the poverty trap. Here is a suggestion: those who earn less than £20,000 a year should not have to pay tax at all. Mr Brown should get rid of the personal allowance for people who earn £70,000 and above.

  • wow this is great. Britain is a great Nation, Gordon Brown looks like a great man, and he cares for you Brits, i wish we Dominicans had a president like that, cheers for all of you, best hopes :D

  • good. but the school part isnt going to happen for a long time. You dont know what a school is really like unless the children dont know you are watching. You need the truth to make your vision come true!

  • no!

  • A good first Queens Speech. It needs to be built on to separate the Brown vision from the Blair one and from Cameron who is increasingly trying to make himself more Blairite.

  • like do we have to start taking population control mesures to advoid a future where we have to live in tiny cubes? its good to see long term policy tho, more of long term policy could be good, its helped the japaneese a huge amount..

  • We are achieving this by ourselves by having fewer children, later in life.

  • and another thing im worried about is loads of shoebox maisonettes being built to fulfill this dream..

  • not really - into youtube then are you if you wont even acknowledge conflicting responses - hah

  • A great vision, one which i dont think anyone could disagree with. The difficulties lie in turning this vision into reality. Good luck Gordon, you're going to need it.

  • Agreed. I'd like to know just how accurate the government is as a whole as far as economics are concerned, particularly when labour has decided to pump 54billion pounds of revenue generated from tax payers into northern rock or whatever it was.

  • Good work. Why is it Paxman an Assinder said the PM lost the debate. He did not. Cameron did a tough display then got destroyed with comments from the PM. The BBC is supporting the tories.

  • what he is trying to say is touching,i hope he onsiders the fact the world is like a box full of bricks,if you take all the bricks out and place them on top, the box wil fall in, so i hope he cares for the planet as much as the over poulating people who live on it.(great speach)
