Good job. For the girl on the bay horse, if you keep your hands down and quiet, your horse will more likely be more relaxed and help your steering. :) also try to get the paint more engaged In his hind end.he'll make clean changes then
@maremare1220 Yes, and a horse can trip and break its neck in an arena. Or, a horse can be put to an off distance and have a rotational fall over regular jump poles. My point: while an unusual use of a piece of wicker furniture, the riders were competent enough to get their mounts to it correctly, and it poses no more threat than something one would encounter on a cross country course. Getting on a horse is potentially dangerous, always. This wasn't done by backyard idiots.
His horses hardly bat an eye at most things when they go to shows, because they've seen much more interesting/colorful stuff at home! I've not jumped the large black coop in that ring--I have issues with stuff that big that's solid. :)
He's a lot softer than the rider on the roan horse, and he lets the horse come up to him instead of exaggerating his movement like the other rider and WAY over folding.
why are you landing so hard in the saddle after the jump try to stay out of the saddle a stride after the jump it is just easier on the horses back but overall good:)
dude, I love your jumps. xD totally interesting use of some things. =P
But anywho, LOVE the horse, looks almost like my paint, maybe he's an Irish Sport horse... nobody can figure out what he is, but looks warmbloodish. xD But w/e. lol LOVELY!!!
his canter could be a bit more forward and your leg should be farther back underneath you. as well, i'd like to see a bit bigger release. otherwise, you two look fantastic! what a beautiful horse.
that red roan is the prettiest horse I have ever seen. I'm serious. Those are some pretty snazzy looking horses you have in that ring. Impressive jumping as well! Nice job.
Oh my that chair fence scares me, whew. Are they really just, chair? To me that seems really unsafe (Im not lecturing or being mean, just saying how I feel). If something went wrong, I personally wouldnt want to land on a chair. That flames wall is really cool.
It could be unsafe, I agree--but technically any cross country jump isn't the best to land on, either...as the jump will still be there after you and your horse get tumbled. The good thing with wicker is, it's not the strongest wood. If, God forbid, someone crashes onto it, it's gonna fall apart pretty easily.
Yeah, I've never been a fan myself. Someone was actually getting rid of this furniture, and somehow, it found its way to the farm and into the ring...and the rest is history.
The jumps are considerably less poor than your grammar. Some people would rather make their own than shell out extra money, and consider this--if your horse is only ever doing the usual styles of jumps, what will happen if you decide to do cross country and point it at an unusual obstacle? Good luck. These horses have seen it all and know their job, no matter what you point them at.
I won't even begin to comment on the riding in your ONE video. Let's just say I can see why you disabled comments and embedding. Are you guys like, internet challenged or something?? Can you not afford a nice camera to make numerous videos and a good video production program?
I love the girl in the blue shirt... lol that one person thought that the guy on the paint is a girl.. hehe. all are lovely riders and very nice jumper horses! :D
Those are the oddest jumps I think i have ever seen in my life! You all rode well but the girl on the gypsy cob(thats what it looked like) should watch her leg it slips back every now and then.
wow, this kinda reminds me of when we were little and we used to gallop our two legged horses over bucket standards and broom oxers, except yall are on real horses, lol!!!!
The person who manages to use "ugly" three times in a senseless comment is clearly very, very mature. Hats off to you and your bitterness. Go back to cowering behind your keyboard and hating the world and, inevitably, yourself...and have a nice day, damn it. :)
Thanks. This stallion was originally imported from Ireland, and looks a whole lot beefier when he has a rider who isn't 6'5" on his back! :) Drake is one of the most calm stallions I've ever had the opportunity to see/work with, and is definitely beautiful.
i keep watching this video! Drake is sooooo pretty!
