  • impressive

  • When you asked can you guess what it is in your first video about this tool, I thought "sure, it a thingamajibbit to keep the dingfutser from hitting the hetsenburg device"

  • Its amazing what people think of doing with a scrap bit of steel. Most people would just chuck it out instead of seeing something useful it can be turned into.

  • Aha! That is what the piece of Steel channel that you found was used to make! Nice creativity!

  • the top roller should be the one to move up and down centered over the bottom two ....and they should be the drive rolls as well...

  • @moto9ll I already have a set to the design you mention but wanted to try this alternative idea which should eliminate the flats at the ends.

  • @moto9ll

Out of the six roller sets in our workshop two are of the type you mention, the other six are arranged exacltly like the set in the video, with the rollers being about 500mmm long, and of varying sizes for different material thickness. One of them has rollers of four metres in length, and 250mm dia.

We always form each end of the material first to avoid flat spotting the ends, then they fit on the mandrel properly for dressing after welding. Only forming the ends stops flat spotting

  • very nice thanks for posting

  • Very nice, I realize you were not happy with the performance but it looks like it would be great for copper and silver bracelets.

Guess I see everything as a jeweler which is what I am.

  • just needed a slight knurl on the drive rollers...maybe

  • I realy hope there is some young kid that lives next door to you,,,and is interested in learning your knowledge. They would be very lucky!

  • any blueprints available?

  • @jrolands No. The the tool did not perform as well as expected.

  • @myfordboy I would still want to see the inside of this thing. even though it didn't work like you planned, it's still a nice piece of engineering.

  • Awesome job how long did it take to make it

  • @chopperboy25 A couple of weeks.

  • No talking! That's what makes these vids stand out, just the sounds of work. Hypnotic. I love these vids. I did not understand the appeal of home machining until I started watching these.

  • wow you made it from scratch!!! awesome

  • Cool even though its not made of wood! LOL!

  • Cut a 1/16 groove across the face of the top feed roller -- every time you reinsert

your piece do it at the groove it will help grab the piece and pull it in.

  • I watched the first video many times trying to figure out what it might be. This is the last thing I probably would have guessed. I really like your videos and hope there are many more to come. I think talking instead of the captions would be an improvement though. Keep up the good work.

  • neat machine

  • Really nice Job... Never had a clue what you were building.

  • Nice job. Score another win for Myfordboy!

  • Man, i would never guess it having only the bushes and the box but your machine building skills are great. Each time you upload some video casting or machining i watch with huge interest.Keep going with the cool stuff:)

  • @sanches2 Me too!
