Can anyone please explain to me one simple stupid question that I cannot find anywhere? If mint gives you a copy of a card, does that go into your hand or does it go into the discard? It mentions neither, so I can't see how it's self explanatory. Most people just say "read the card literally" and literally, if it's truly a "copy", it goes directly into your hand. No?

@Khalirei I'm sure the rules that came with the game explain this, but any time you gain a card in Dominion, it goes to your discard pile unless the card says otherwise. Mint is already powerful enough that it can duplicate your golds and platinums while trashing your coppers that if it allowed you to gain the duplicates directly into your hand, it would be pretty broken. Nice try though. ^.^

I've only ever played the original Dominion and I'm looking for an expansion that gives me the option of 6 or 8 players. I've heard "Intrigue" lets you do that, but can I do that with "Prosperity" too, even if I don't have "Intrigue" but just the original set? PLEASE HELP!

Intrigue has the basic cards (treasures and VP) that allows you to play with more than 4. But its not recomended for more than 5 people since waiting time gets too long.

I like to use the bishop. You can use the bishop to turn estates into tokens so you only have money in the beginning of the game. It also gives another token for free.

i like Prosperity very much, but even as Tom mentions, Platinum and and Colony changes the game almost too much. because of these two cards, my favorite expansion remains Seaside. but this one does come in second.

How well does it work to play with a mixture prosperity, seaside, and intrigue but without (platinum and colonies)

How well does it work to play with platinum and colonies.but without intrigue actions and special treassure.

I ask because I like to mix cards from all expansions, and I couldn't do that with alchemy.

@anotherelvis Mixes extremely well. There are some awesome 2-3 card combos you can create with Prosperity and cards from the other expansions.

I found the WatchTower to be very versatile. It even gives you a reason not to play it (buy a Platinum, reveal watchtower, put Platinum you gain on top of your deck)

@ LVNAndy: Prosperity is available as of 9/15 at Amazon.com I already ordered it and cannot wait to get it. I have all the Dominion games and love them all. This one looks the best though, with the new twists it brings to the game. Things will really be changed up.

What am I waiting for? Well, it's not out yet, so that's a factor.

Also, my friends have Dominion, so I don't, so there's not much point to my buying expansions. But mostly it's the its not being out yet thing.

The new expansion looks like fun, but I only want to buy it if the cards that mix well with the cards that I already have without changing too much of the game.
