@Camradko BMDs were designed for paradrops, but I think there are some others that are able to be dropped aswell, T-64s possibly, T-64s were eventually developed into the T-80,

Technically you could drop a T-90 if you had a big enough plane and strong parachute. You would probably need something like an AN-225 To dop large vehicles though, the planes that drop the soviet vehicles are AN-124s, which is the smaller version of the 225, but there's only one 225 in the world.

The M1A1's main cannon is from the Leopard 2A1, the german tank. Enfield was way long before the M16 even managed to exist, and before then UK had pretty much a good rifle while Americans had pretty much the Winchester rifle, and the only other rifle they had was from muskets or hunting rifles.

Also, no it would not leave a crater unless those airdrops had some strong, fall-reducing chutes wouldn't they? If you can airdrop a M551 Sheridan and M113 Gavin, I'm sure you can pretty much drop a 50-ton tank somewhere between 1000 feet and the ground without accidents.

You can't paradrop vehicles that weigh much more than 20 tons. It is available on Itunes. It is not war song, but very nice folk song that happens to be used quite wonderfully in this excellent game and its trailer. I might be able to provide rough translation later on.
