  • with the dl4 do you have to us a guitar? or can i just use my mic? i beatbox and i want to get something like this so i can beat and loop my beats. can i hook a mike up to it??

  • @bobajmasta You can you just need the right cables... a band called "the Album Leaf" does some looping of vocals through it but its more of an ambient sound, but it could work for you too!

    (I also have a DL4)

  • That drum fill @ 1:28 rocks balls!!!

  • sin amigos

  • Sick jam. The guitar almost sounds like a violin! How do you get that sound?

  • Nice room. All i can fit in mine is a guitar and an amp.

  • Someone definitely listens to Don Cab. And Minus the Bear

  • Don Cab is one of my favorites.

  • check out the band elteneleven. see what you think. nice loop. looks like all kinds of fun! nice work.

  • agreed! good comment

  • this was pretty immense! you got a band mate?

  • sooomeonee likes don cab

  • i do similar stuff to this, and i use a boss loopstation, i find that it makes the music more entertaining if i put the pedal by one of my feet so that i can add some start stops and use the revers setting, nice stuff though man

  • This is awesome im a great guitar player and i wanna start to learn a few beatz on the drumz

  • Dude seriously, I've been on graveyard shift watching guitar loop videos and you're the first one I've found using the pedal to make something awesome. I have one video of me doing something like this (although I go towards Battles rather than Trans Am/Champs type sound)

Bottom line: Tight. Inspired me to play/record more and that's why I get on youtube.

  • haha looks like a good time

  • you're sexy.

  • Keep to drumming! horrible guitar parts/guitar sound.

  • man. shut the hell up. lets see YOUR videos. this is talent.

good job man, great video. i admire your DIY approach to creating/composing.

  • realy, shut up!

do you have realy thing that he might want not be a better guitarist

if you want to haer great guitar parts listem to a pink floyd album, come not to yoy tube LOL

  • ho, and, good jamming

  • Ladies and Gentleman, THE ONE MANED BAND

  • The guitar tone is horrible (solid state amp?) pretty cool overall though

  • some people can't afford tube amps dude, go easy on him.

  • Nice riffs! have you thought of miknig your drums and adding that to the loop machine

  • That was awesome dude!!!!!

  • Nice vid! I have a couple of questions about the pedal. When you record a new part does it just mix it permanently with the existing loop, or can you record multiple parts to drop in and out? How many inputs are there- do you need a seperate mixer to do vocals and guitar for instance? Does this pedal have more or less looping features than the Headrush? thanks :)

  • i own the same pedal, and a big problem with it, is that you cannot take out layers, which is a real pain if you get a sick layer in, and you screw it up with another layer that just sucks. there are 2 inputs, and 2 outputs, (for 2 amps) and there is no input for vocals unfortunately.

    hope this helped.

  • cool its sweet how u play drums and guitar

I've been playing drums for ten years and i alos play guitar, base, and piano

  • A few questions:

Does the DL4 have 14 seconds to record each loop? Or just 14 seconds total to store one large loop?

Also, what kind of camera specifically did you use to record this whole thing?

GREAT video! I watch it regularly!

  • 14 seconds in regular mode. there is an extended mode where you get 28.

    sony vx2100

  • You can record over and over and over each "layer" being 14 seconds long..

  • can you use the delay effects while using the loop function?

  • you can get a delay effect up while you loop. but you have no control with the tap tempo.

  • Have you had any problems with your DL4? would you recommend one.

  • I actually use an Akai Headrush 2 now. I just find that it is friendlier to how I use it. But the DL4 is an amazing pedal. I would definately suggest it to anyone.

  • i would totally recommend one. Never had any issues with the pedal.

  • awsome

  • You're one awesom drummer I'll tell you that =D

  • Hehe that's cool man! Keep it up. :)
