Okay the positives...you got to the end and the audience EVENTUALLY enjoyed it....
But presentation guys...the can of Apple Tango, by the Euph? @ 1:28. @2:30 the MD got the crowd to clap along, by 2:57 he is about 3 bars behind you all, and never caught up. And then a great bit of solo cornet entertainment but looked poor with-out a bow tie.
Presentation is most important especially when audiences, and organisers have so much choice, we got to look the part nowadays. Look Good - sound great
@davegp01 Sorry for the late reply but I just have to say that at 2.30 the claps are written in the music. It is the band members that do not have bars at the time that clap.
aww man, Burton Youth Band used to play this years ago before they changed everything round and now the players average at about a grade 3 standard. :( I'd forgotten all about this song... good memories!
good song, but some pitching problems in the brass.....(overblowing trombones) and ther is a serious lack of saxophones in a song where they are very important...u should try to push the boudary a bit b puttin certain trumpets notes up an octave....
It reminds me of my school days in the orchestra and the band. Wonderful, Wonderful as the late Lawrence Welk used to say.

one of the all-time fun songs to play in concert bands. I think I played it in about 6 different ones.

A lack of saxophones? Maybe because this is a BRASS band?
