No, no typing error - it really was 23bhp. And it was dreadful to drive - top speed about 50mph and took ages to get there. yes 75bhp is a huge shortfall, but all they did was fix the distributor, there were still loads of problems. Since then i've done a top end rebuild, and I estimate it's up to about 120bhp now, but compression is about 70% of what it should be - new piston rings and I reckon I'd have the magic 180bhp.

@rangie93 where are you based? That one is at Alan Jeffery's in Plymouth, which is a 1,000bhp 4WD dyno.

I think you made an typing-error: 23hp and 75hp is a HUGE shortage on the orinal hp's.
