I was playing with an old chinese man yesterday and he was guessing right all the time, betting 400-500. So obivously everyone would wait until he made his bet. But he stayed for hours and his streak ended, soon after everyone bet opposite of what he chose lol.

If you want to learn Baccarat, you need to also learn about money management system.

One thing you want to stay out of is the infamous Martingale system, negative or positive. It's the most dangerous of them all.

I kind of like modified 31 double or Fibonacci systems.

So, look into these money management systems before you start betting on any Baccarat tables.

Well i think if i were to win 5k i wouldn't play for another year or so. But i read up on Fibonacci system and it seems good although it seems like a "play it safe" way to go at it. But i'm more of a risk taker and like to bet larger amounts and only a couple of times (3-4 and if i win i call it a day. If i lose, just as well.

But, on average, you should follow the streaks, rather than trying to chop streaks. Chopping a bank or player streak is what we call "chase play", and that's the last thing you want to do while the streak is in progress.

I've seen this guy losing 20,000 of his money in 20 minutes trying to chop after 6 banks in a row. He started with $25 bet and doubled up his bets. The bank went all the way to 17!

Sad thing was, he lost all that money for a mere $25 win.

To me, all Baccarat shoes have, what I would term as, periods of "chop-chops" and "sticks" or "streaks". Because these periods vary throughout any given shoe, you need to decide how you want to play. You can bet assuming chop-chop only, streak only, or both.

There are some players who make pretty good money betting on just the "seconds". But then, they lose a lot when they run into series of single chops. I've seen people foolishly losing, all their bankrolls, chasing after the second bank.

And then, he leaves whether he wins or losses the hand. One hand, and that's it!

I'm not a big fan of such simple method.

However, the system(if you want to call that a 'system') allows you to walk out of the casino when you are ahead of $5000 with that winning hand.

If you have a better system and good SELF-CONTROL, other systems are far better off. I capitalized the 'self-control', because that's the key in gambling.

I also won over 10 grand in three shoes, doing nothing but chopping. There are certain nights right before the shift change, I get nothing but shallow chop/chop shoes.

If you are lucky to sense that and go for the chops the entire shoe, you can win as many as 50 hands in that shoe. Unbelievable, isn't it? But, I've done it a few times.

You see, there are literally million ways you can play Baccarat. They all work on some shoes, but fail miserably on other shoes.

That's the way it is.

I have some friends who do that also. He literally waits five or six hours for the right hand, and them bam! He would bet $5000 on player, because he doesn't like paying commission.

You know what's really funny?

No matter how the shoe leans (bank or player strong), next hand still gives you no better or worse than 50-50. That's why this game still amazes me.

One more advice. Don't ever bet on ties. The house has over 14% advantage on you. It's suckers' bet.

I've seen a shoe with 24 ties, and yet I've seen a lot more shoes with less than 1 tie. If you are looking for a shoe with 24 ties and bet tie on every hand, all I can say is, good luck! You may be stuck with a shoe having just 1 tie. That'll be a nightmare.

Having said all this -and, I apologize for my long and gruesome comments- I still think baccarat provides the best chance.

I may sound pessimistic, but I'm not. All I'm trying to say is, baccarat is a lot tougher game than you think. It's also very dangerous game, because the game for some strange reason, make you escalate your bet amounts after playing for a while.

I've seen a calm and collected, excellent baccarat player, getting pissed off and betting tens of thousands of dollars each hand and lose eleven times in a row.

Just because some Chinese guy made 100K on one hand, because he followed a pattern, doesn't mean he will always win more than 50% of his bets. He may win more than 50% on a lucky shoe, or a lucky day. But, he will eventually cough it back to the house in the long run. That's why casinos want you to stay and play as long and as often as you can. They make you do that through their "comps" and free drinks. Have you seen clocks in any casinos, (well) except at the sports betting section?

No matter what system you have with baccarat, you will end up losing because of the 5% banker commission. That's the way it is. It's not as prevelant as American roulette's "O" and "OO", but that 5% commission will slowly eat away your little winnings.

I deal blackjack and baccarat one of the New England casinos, and I can tell everyone right now, baccarat gives the best odds for the player in the entire house. Blackjack is not even close. Like one other person said, there are too many variables. In Bac, you need only choose which hand to bet on, but following the Asian patrons, who tend to be very well versed in this game, will definitely help. Baccarat is also a huge money game. People bet huge in high limit games.

Don't ever assume that patterns in baccarat are, in any way, predictable. If that was the case, everybody with knowledge of "patterns" would become instant millionaires. Baccarat is a game of 50/50. After 22 banks in a row, next hand is still 50/50 or a tie. I've seen 23 banks in a row. I've also seen 19 straight single jumps.

We humans try to form natural "randomness" into certain patterns. One good example is, people trying to come up with some figures from the cloud.

Baccarat does give the best odd out of any casino games. Blackjack has a lot more variables that could change your cards or the game. Stupid people hitting when they shouldnt, dealer burning cards when they entering the table, etc. Nothing can change the baccarat hands, unless you didn't pay attention to the dealer's mistake.

Actually, the cards removed in baccarat affect the later outcome but by so little that baccarat isn't countable. In blackjack, the best way to combat the cards removed is by card counting, which takes a lot of work to get an advantage and pull it off.

I agree with you. Casinos occasionally post monthly losses on Baccarat tables but rarely on Black Jacks. That just shows, some big whales can and will make huge sums of money and take off.
