  • George Carlin also played Mr. Conductor from Shining Time Station.

  • *building Clap*

No sh*t. If their was a reality to the words to which you define, then I must be one of them. Sounds stupid, but I've almost completely devoted my life to making people laugh by striking over stupid and pathetic things I've looked at from wonder to shock and awe, made by my nation, the world, and every motherf*cker in it. But there is no c*cksucking way in f*cking hell will I ever be able to matchup to the legend that is George Carlin.

  • I vote george calin to be are new god for he make alot more sence then the other guy...

  • shit, he is dead?!!??

  • This video was amazing, you're very talented judging by the way you put this together!

I discovered George Carlin not long after he passed away and I just wish I'd have been aware of him when he was alive. He was such an intelligent insightful man. I really miss him

  • legend!

  • If you looked or watched this, you would already be someone that had respect and I dare say a love for the Comeditarian (by the way, the spell check doesn't accept it as a word yet!) rogue that he was.

By far the best tribute to George I have seen so far MPC. Respect.

Sums him up with an eloquence, intelligence and comprehension he deserved. Being a master of language, he would actually have been pleased I think.

To honor him, the only way forward is to do what he suggested - keep thinking

  • he was a ledend.. a true american all muslims love him....

  • i think you forgot sam kinnison, definite comediatarian

  • LOL, fine and dandy.

  • damn it, i feel like im lost without george carlin as my map to the road of life. how am i supposed to find my way now? ask the blind and deaf guy in front of me? oh well..guess ill just go where ever the hell i want.

  • Amazing, insightful and informative tribute! :-D

George's HBO routines helped me get out of the closed-minded lifestyle of mainstream Protestant Christianity (I'm only speaking from my own experiences, not that of Christians in general; regardless the closed-minded aspect, Christianity has helped me in other ways). Because of George, Bill Maher and others, I ventured more into open-mindedness and critical thinking, two invaluable tools for my personal growth.

    Thank you, George. :-)

  • As very well said:

Thank you George for finding your personal truth, having the courage to follow it and sharing it with us.You WILL be greatly missed.

    Rest in peace George...

    We salute you with respect...

  • I remember seeing him in concert back in 1997 I was wearing a hat backwards and he poped off the joke about white boys wearing there hats backwards and I stopped wearing my hat backwards.

  • You have successfully made me shed tears of sadness. I fucking miss him man..

  • Good video; but I wish you put Bill Hicks on that comeditarian list.

  • Agreed, he definitely belongs on there!

  • Good Analysis.

  • Very deep, I LOVE IT! You kick ass MPC!

  • After I write a comment I always use Google's spellcheck tool from the toolbar. I have now added comeditarian to it's dictionary.

  • Well done but i like Humedian.

  • A very fitting tribute, sir. There are not enough people left that entertain AND teach us to keep our eyes and our minds open.

  • Fantastic video!

Just mentioned the other day: you miss an expression like "Kabarettist" in Germany.

It's not everyday comedy. It's political, social critical satirical kinda humor.

George was one of a few! Deeply missed!

  • i totaly agree

  • You forgot to mention the greatest comeditarian ever, Bill Hicks.

  • BRILLIANT!!

  • absolutely.....RIP

  • Brill!!!

  • when i die, i wanna be chewed by the same worms that ate carlin.

    who wouldnt want that?

sounds like a great conversation starter....ofcourse...we're dead, so maybe not that good.

  • ::standing applause:: ...literally! great job!

    -Y-

  • Excellent

  • Excellent and eloquent video essay. I think you pinpointed exactly the loss a lot of us feel.

  • LEts ADDD that toooo!!!

    Wikipedia!!

a site that will create the most ingenious and amusing ideas To Reality!

  • man while the world goes to shit we had to lose george.

  • I do and always will regard Carlin as the last true Philosopher of humor in all of its forms and splendor.

  • all the money, all the power, all the fans, wat does he take to his grave..... nothing except

    his good and bad deeds.

    allah huakbar

carlin was a cool guy, rip

    peace

  • I didn't even know who he was till he died. He sounds awesome, I wish I was ten years older, then I would probably have half an idea of who he was. :(

  • i remember him as mr conductor in shining time station

  • gee he was just here a minute ago

    thanks george

  • Jumping on the Bill Hicks appreciation bandwagon-I miss them both

  • very deep thoughts - you are a very intelligent guy!

    RIP George Carlin

  • I remember him from being the tiny conductor on 'Shining Time Station' who told the story of thomas the tank engine.

  • Im going to miss this man :/

  • mpc dude your forgetting BILL HICKS man!!! that guy was a true comeditarian, I love this tribute and your movies funny and informative, always preserving the legacy of good movies and informing hardcore movie buffs, geeks, watchers, etc. LONG LIVE GOOD MOVIES!!

  • Agreed! Bill Hicks deserves some respect.

  • you forgot the conductor on Thomas The Tank Engine!

He was a genius! Great tribute. Allot better then having pictures clips and music I must say.

His bits on society in general are an inspiration to my work as much as someone as Frank Miller or David Petersen.

  • deam you made me cry> good work man

  • you should be on tv

  • The first video about him with a visual explanation. Very nice, very nice. I'm glad I'm your friend.

  • I DONT BELEVE YOU

  • You should be some who does documentrys that are on tv.

  • Absolutely brilliant review. And yes, he was my favorite Comeditarian.

  • I hope Youtube pays you to do this, because you do it so damn well.

  • great vid. I knew every comedian on the comeditarian list, but im not sure how you placed dave chappelle on the comeditarian list, but if u could explain it to me, that would be great.

  • Thanks for the feedback! I think Dave is a comeditarian based on the material he did on his Comedy Central show. The Racial Draft, the black and blind leader of the KKK, etc. His humanitarian elements come out more in the sketches he writes than the standup, but it's there.

  • Likewise. My first experience of him was Shining Time Station.

    Great tribute.

  • man, that was great. George was every thing you said, he will be greatly missed, he was as john Stuart said one of comedy "holy trinity' Lenny Bruce, Richard Pryor and George Carlin

  • RIP. I miss him already...

  • As much as I know and respect George Carlin's work as a comedian, I will always remember him as Mr. Conductor on Shining Time station. He was so much better at it than Ringo Starr.

  • nice work man!

  • Whether you like carlos mencia or not, he also helps us recognize the truth behind our own bullshit.

    Rip George Carlin

  • Agreed, Carlos is a comeditarian.

  • I don't know man I respectfully disagree. I often see segments on his show where I think to myself "Eehh, that's kinda bullshit". I admit he can be a funny man, I really enjoyed his Comedy Central Presents before he had his show because it had a lot of bullshit on purpose and it was funny. However ever since he acquired a show he has seemed to do a lot more preaching and little less comedy; that's whats different about him and George. George never stopped making us laugh.

  • Rest In Peace

    Lil Bro

  • This is a good tribute. God bless George Carlin.

  • That was very nice of you to remember a guy like him! =D For some reason its always the good ppl that go first... Like Scatman John and Tiny Tim (God bless their souls)...='( Anyways I liked it alot! ^^ I rate this video super special awesome! =D Rip Carlos Menica.

  • I would think Carlos Mencia is a combination of both comedian and comeditarian.

  • I hate to disagree, but fuck Carlos Mencia. First, his name isn't really Carlos. Second, all he does is preach. Third, what he preaches isn't common sense, just his overwrought opinion.

  • First of all: who the fuck asked you what you thought about Carlos Mencia? Second of all: his name IS Carlos Mencia. Accept it. Third of all: how is that different from Carlin? The only difference between Carlos and George is that the former preaches against racism by using racism. Carlin's overwrought opinions were on subjects other than racism.

  • High Five

  • LOL, how's about a thumbs-up?

  • Yeah, his name is Ned i believe, carlos mencia is just a stage name, but that shouldn't be relevent. He makes people laugh and points out true situations about human behavior, politics, coulture, prejudice. Maybe making others learn from this.

  • R.I.P

    George Carlin

  • AMEN BROTHER!!!!

  • I fucking love Oscar Wilde.

  • There was a reason why I subscribed to your channel, now I know. Thanks for showing one of the greatest Comeditarian his marks in our lives.

  • don't shed a tear there is nothing to fear even though the brighteset bulb in the best flashlight is gone. RIP comeditarian.

  • This guy will be miss forever =(.

  • excellent; well-thought and insightful.

  • this is excellent. very good tribute.

I was getting pretty frustrated hearing George Carlin's name carrying the lack of weight it deserved on newscasts mentioning his death.

  • Dude, great job. You have made my day, may George Carlin be remembered for who he was.

  • george carlin is truly one of the greatest men of our time. he will be missed dearly.

  • Nice tribute, he will be missed

  • R.I.P George Carlin.

  • true.....Kim

  • you nailed it we need more people like him! nobody else talked about his humanitarian and politcal side not just his vulgar jokes thanks!

  • *cries*

  • Great man, big lost

  • He wouldn't admit it but he would have loved this vid if he could've seen it.

  • typo at 3:08

  • :) funny, no matter how many times I check and re-check, they sneak through time to time - let me know what it is - I'd like to fix it.

  • YEP...geroge?

  • Oh come on MPC, I expected better from you. Don't puss out and censor the words.

Also, in the definition you screwed up George.

    Anyway, George. ;_;

  • That's my shtick...always bleep, even though for Carlin I wanted to make an exception.

  • I was mad that Larry King pussed out, too. No one had the balls to just say them.

Also, Bill Hicks should be added to Comeditarians.

  • You forgot to put stephen colbert in the comeditarians list

  • Good call.

  • RIP George Carlin

  • Good Vid.

  • thanks for this man

  • OMFG! I didn't know he died! only a few days ago! Why doesn't anyone tell me these things anymore! I loved George Carlin! He was SO funny! I can't stop using exclamation marks! PLEASE TELL ME next time one of my fav comedians dies! (Sorry for yelling. I am sad.) RIP George. You will be missed. :(

  • thank you for giving the man his due respect. this video has really effected me and has got me thinking on how things are in this mixed up world of ours, again thank you this video has really touched me.

  • Great tribute, thanks for this. fyi, at 3:07 you spelled 'George' 'Geroge'

  • thanks...I'll have to fix that.

  • cool vid

  • Nice video man, keep it up!

  • first

  • First comment, i miss George Carlin.
