Like the truck driver would just continue without hitting the brakes and just drive on like it's nothing. Notice the lack of any smoke/sparks etc.. from what would be the remains of the wheels after the tires had been scrubbed off etc...s

The Traffic Commissioner and police have looked inton this and accepted that the driver wouldn't have known about the car as it was in the drivers blind spot. Reading the comments from alot of people shows how badly truck drivers are regarded by the general public who know so little but think they can blame the poor truck driver which is totally unfair.

@kirid23 1) Selling it to the papers/websites (you do have to pay you know) 2) youtube pay advertising fees to owners of videos that draw in large audiences. With regards to the alerting, do you hear the driver filming beeping his horn at any point? Flashing his lights? He didn't even try and get in front of him... he filmed from the side so they got a story. Greed pure greed!

its not fake, as a truck driver myself its almost impossible to see whats right in front of you, thats why you see on some trucks have a blind spot mirror on top of the windscreen, and because the road is wet the car would just slide along with ease if the truck driver has the cruise control on.

I have seen lorry drivers watching a DVD on one of those portable players and not just once, Maybe ther is a blind spot but he should have notice the lorry slowing down and the sparks from the wheels.

Also why do lorrys try to overtake at 56.1 mph, it doesnt make a difference and it only pisses other people off. If you drive 1mph faster you only gain 1 mile ever hour and why cant lorry drivers realise if you pull out from behind a lorry you slow down its air resistance.

Ok... then please explain to me why the people in the car from which this was filmed don't drive up parallel to the truck (I certainly would) and inform that poor demented driver who can't see what has happened and is potentially going to crush or kill a woman in her car? Why(?), because the people in the car are accomplices in this hoax! There are no distortions to the wheels, no sparks and the car hangs at an angle from the front of the truck.

@Ludercrs: wouldn't you agree that the car it utterly stable, and that for a long time? One could easily pull alongside and inform the driver of the truck (who must have a brain of a 2 year old). In fact parallel to the truck would be safer if the car did come off then where they were. But it's a hoax. Period. It is sooo obvious.
