  • @ 3:28 they said global warming and showed a nuclear power plant ? cmon man, something is really wrong with that.

  • Biofuels are worthless stop growing them you morons.

  • @Graham6762 I liked and agree with your comment; there are books , websites , etc that prove scientifcally biofuels are not all that is cracked to be. Here is another factor; Moderate use of beer / liquor spirts drinks would free up quite a few acres for producing more food for the world and so would a reduction in bee consumption. I could be wrong but what do you think ?

  • who even thought about using corn for ethanol? why not growing sugar cane? supposedly it gives more ethanol. they were doing this in brazil for over 20 years. apparently the only issue is deforestation, not food. and algaes can make 10 to 30 times more oil on the same area compared with oil palms. why do I know these things? why is obama talking about "corn, ethanol"? it seems like that no one really knows how to run the world. and we are all getting doomed cause of stupidity.

  • "In searching for the new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill...The real enemy, then, is humanity itself." -- Club of Rome members Alexander King and Bertrand Schneider in their book "The First Global Revolution"

  • Farmers planted over 90 million acres to corn this yr. Maybe 12 million acres used for ethanol production. Some 15 to 20 million more acres planted to Corn more than in prior years.

That is why corn only went up 31 % against 70% , 80% , even 130% increases in other grain prices.

In short, stocks and prices are influenced by the insane war on some terrorists costing a trillion off budget dollars to date, jump starting inflation Big Time!

    Want stable supplies and prices?

    Fix the Dollar!

  • check out: "kosher tax" on youtube.

this adds 3.33% to the cost of food.

  • notice it said World Bank inject 500 billion dollars. inject means lend fiat money at interest

    down with the illuminatti

  • Add the fact that the 40 million acres in the US that are out of production, GOV. is paying farmers not to farm.

If planted to fodder beets, that land could net 44 billion gallons of Ethanol and as much distillation residues to equal what every feedlot needs that used to come from corn.

There are no shortages, just people invading commodities and bailing on the ever worth-less dollar due to an off budget insane war.

Google "Mister, Can You Spare a Paradigm?"

  • zeitgeist movie

  • Absolutely right. Using corn only proves the ultimate stupidity and/or bribery of the United states government. they can use sugar beets for ethanol. Why corn??? Just about anything with a high sugar, starch content will do. We're not going to DRINK it ya moron$.

The present government with it's generally accepted stupidity and apathy is absolutely pathetic and a troubling embarrassment. Leaders?? Give me a break.

  • American farmers and those of Europe and Asia can easily feed the world. Google "Mister, Can You Spare a Paradigm?"

America alone can easily lift 3 billion people out of protein deficiency by planting corn and fodder beets to less than half their 354 million acres of prime cropland, making ethanol and using distillation residues as feed for Tilapia or mushrooms.

No one need starve. It's the politicians who subsidize Big Oil some $5.65 against Ethanol's 61 cents.

  • There are 20 crops that out produce corn for ethanol and many that out produce livestock feed that goes with ethanol mfg.

ethanol might make 350 gallons per acre. Fodder beets make 1000 GPA.

    Sorghum can make 800 GPA

  • the us gov has a 100% trade teriff on brazilain sugarcain to fatten the wallets of corn growers, sugarcain makes its cheaper better and faster than corn ehthonol.

  • Well shit! As long as I can grab a #2, supersized, from McDonalds, on my way out of Wal-Mart after I spent my stimulus check on cheezy Chinese made goods, I wont care about the rest of the world. Long live Wal-Mart and lame ass American ideals!

  • we have no ideals. It just the way we like it. you know that. fuck the rest of the world!

  • LOL, sadly you are right. That is the take that the majority of American have on any situation. The media has dumbed us all down so much that they just don't care what happens.

  • White pigs like to use us human.

We Japan get anger to bush, his name is end.

  • You read texbook,that ia a bored.

Shit on ass bush,at least,on you America.

  • Why British english is like tea time's term?

    Especially Woman,Fool? or not ?

  • 500 million?? that is NOTHING, up in smoke anyway--it'll go right into the pockets of dirty politicians. people need food, not money.

(and ethanol is a terrible idea.)

  • not if your a us farmer. 25% of corn for 2% of our fuel. Its 2% less payed to our enemies.

  • We are actually closer to 4% of our fuel from ethanol. were we to farm the 40 million acres in the land bank we could generate 44 billion gallons of ethanol from fodder beets which makes for nearly one third of our fuel needed.

  • Thats even better! 40 million acres that the tree huges will make sure we never use.

  • Al Jazeera????????? real Americans don't read this crap

  • I think you mean watch this crap.

  • Thank you for Educating me on this vital matter.I promise to spread the word.

  • the government and world banks zare creating this problem. there are technologies already created that can use other material to create fuels. thermal depolymerization is a process that breaks down any carbon based material down to oil. it is very efficient, and is more thermodynamically conservative than using food for fuel. plastic bottles, rubber tires, paper products, and even meat production waste can be converted into oil. with the amount of trash we produce it would kill3 birds w/ 1 stone

  • search : funny door accidents

    (The second one)

the first one was removed by me so i created anotha account

  • Except that CNN and Fox are both propagandha; not so sure about Al-Jazeera

  • Al-Jazeera: The Fox News of the Middle East

  • ...NO...Definitely not...Fox News is American Tabloid...Its not seen anywhere else beside the redneck communities of the world...unfortunately...They're not journalists...

  • No, it isn't. Not the english version, anyway. Have you watched it for any length of time? It's becoming one of the best news sources around for finding out what's happening in places where the US / UK media are no longer welcome.

  • Fox News is not news. At all. It is radical war mongering agitprop. Nothing more. Al-Jazeera is just the Arab version of Fox News. The Bush family and the Bin Laden family are two fascist families and business partners. Bush is Fox, Bin Laden is Al-Jazeera. Christian fascists and Islamic fascists working hand in hand.

  • Just another attack from Al-Jazeera on America, trying to make it look like were greedy. If people want corn use your own farms I mean Canada and Russia have louds of un-used land that dureing summer could be used.

  • ...Al-Jazeera is not trying to make US look greedy, AMerica is greedy...With that mentality, Y Americans complain when jobs go overseas or shit jobs are done by immigrants...Remember, land may be, is it suitable for farming, Canada for sure suitable land, hopefully Canadian farmers will respond...If a fact becomes an attack, surely it is a right and responsibility to have that aired...As US Supreme Court say in Cohen v. California, re Nazi March, if you no like don't watch it, turn away...

  • stfu dont blame other countries for your greediness, we canadians are farming corn but we have problems too!~

  • ...Indeed, what country or society does not have its problems, it would be utopia if we did, last time I checked, I did not find utopia...To expand on the greedy point, look at the excess waistline of Canadians and Americans, probably apply to most western countries, why so big?...there would be less food shortages if people shared and ate less shit (pop, chips, fast food...aint food for sure), especially gas guzzling SUVs, need, not really, its more I want because Westerners have money...

  • whats wrong with presenting an alternative viewpoint? Its healthy for Americans to listen

  • Wouldn't you want to smack that guy at the end of this video.. especially about him having the nerve to say: "this theory of having less food for the poor that's ridiculous".. another insult to my intelligence.. another good reason to become more angry and embittered..

  • 10 years ago ALL tech. people knew that FUEL-LESS vehicles would be the ONLY solution for U.S. pros. cont. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE!!!

    - Gore is himself a "alt. FUELS" lobyist! So the GREENS CAN BE BLAMED (stupid pot-heads!) Electronic mag. drives HAVE been developed - IN CHINA! Millions are sold every year: NEWS BLACK-OUT! Now add ON-BOARD GENERATORS of Neo-mags and FUEL-LESS drives are here!

BANKS/CORPS/MIL/-PAPERpower people trying to BLOCK OUR SALVATION! Vote Obama!

  • What?

  • Jesus, looks like the government just fucked us up real good. Why am I not surprised?

  • ...Perhaps, its another round of screwing...People get used to being screwed, they give up, losing faith and hope, and then other people do whatever they elect their buddies for...Voting is important...

  • Voting doesn't do anything. Ignoring the system and starting to take care of ourselves is real change. It's pretty clear the government is doing more harm than good.

  • ...You should always take care of yourself, you don't need the political system to do that. Ignoring the system leaves power in the hands of others (lobbyists and other vested interests), how is that going to help people, it will...If you look at the paralysis of American politics this a good example, look at the response to Katrina...Don't give up hope on democratic functions...

  • I ignore the system because I don't agree with the system... any system. If you continue to feed the state with your money and support then it will continue to grow. Without my support it dissolves away.

  • Don't want to starve? Smash the state!

  • ...Give the anarchist chance to rule...I don't think so, as much as government is bad, at least the courts listen to people, sometimes since money and "balls" required to fight gov't...Don't want chaos...remind me of Iraq...

  • yu255673: It's clear to me that you haven't got a clue what anarchy is.

  • ...If going to university for 5 years and studying political science and law and society, does not qualify, what qualifies?...What makes you so authoritative?...I really don't need to know anarchy, I've been exposed to it enough to know what it is and what it is not...S.Alam...

  • no state then. profiteers rule the market.

  • is there one US representative that isn't a lying fucking idiot???

  • ...Probably there are...They are in the minority, if they say something they don't like, they are likely to be taken out (lose seat)...

  • There isn't a single car in the U.S. that drives on ethanol. It's subsidized by the gov't, and stored on a shelf somewhere. I would care slightly less about the effect on developing countries IF we were actually using the shit, but we're not. It's completely idiotic; I'm sure some congressmen must have serious ties to the ethanol industry.

  • ...Notice there are over 20 countries that are starting to have food riots...The fact that they stated when one grain price increases, the other ones increase as well...corn included...U C, your mentality is you should have the ability to drive your car while people die of starvation is spurios logic...Pure ethanol perhaps not, most of the gases have a mixture of ethanol in Canada, don't know about the US, I would think the major conglomerates have a mixture in their supreme or plus gasolines...

  • Oregon has a state law to be 50/50 ethanol by 2010. Most will come from the eastern part of the state. So we will export less food. So yes American will drive their cars and people will starve. Farmers can get more money from Ethanol so they will sell to refiners. Maybe we should have drilled ANWAR and of our coast (Florida, Cal) unintended consequences are a bitch!

  • Meat has a lot to do with this too; you lose a lot of calories when you feed corn and other feed to farm animals.

  • Who's brilliant idea is it to burn food?

  • Who controls the World Bank?

  • The primary cause of the problem are the Central Bankers! G-7

  • The root cause of this problem is the dominant mode of production and distribution, that of capitalism. It doesn't have human lives at heart but rather profiteering at the expense of lives. It is simply not a sustainable economic system and we're seeing the beginning of the end of it.

  • The long droughts that destroyed Australia's grain production (1 of only 2 southern hemisphere grain farming countries) might have had something to do with it too. Also, it's interesting that it took a law from congress to make capitalism go retarded and start growing grain for fuel instead of food. Should the Mexicans, soon to have a massive corn (Mex. staple) shortage in the next year or so, thank capitalism or congress for making us put corn in our fuel tanks rather than their markets?

  • If the demand for food is greater than the supply, some people will need to be priced out of the market. The UN has been to busy criticizing Israel to tackle the single greatest problem in the world, overpopulation. Eventually, billions of people will starve and the UN will collapse.

  • The population hasn't had much of a problem sustaining itself in the past. It's the coupling of a bad season with government policies in the US and EU to start using grain for fuel instead of food that is amounting to a diminished supply this time. Enough food might even be grown, but 5%-10% is going to be mixed into gasoline (incentivesed by taxes) instead of bread.

  • The present food crisis is no coincidence.

Oil prices rose from $25 a barrel in Sept. 2003 to $116.10 a barrel on April 18, 2008. Thanks to the IMF, World Bank & WTO's 'free trade in agriculture'.. there's an unjust corporate controlled industrial food system, making food sovereignty impossible and removing developing countries' ability to stockpile grain. Subsidizing support only goes to bigger-scale farmers.. NOT to smaller-scale farmers.. as a result there's NO protection from price shocks.

  • Be careful with the numbers you use for oil. If you price it in US dollars you have to make sure to account for inflation. The more dollars that Congress puts into Iraq, the less valuable the dollars become, like comic books or baseball cards - more rare = more value. Compare $ of oil to $ of something with a static quantity. When compared to gold, the value of oil hasn't changed much, yet Congress/Fed are making it unaffordable for many.

The "free trade" org's are indeed bs and harmful.

  • $Gold vs $Oil

    shadowstats com/imgs/sgs0609G.gif

    You're getting ripped off.

  • A gallon of ethanol < a gallon of gasoline. So it takes more energy to produce a gallon of ethanol than what can be rendered from it. Also simply creating more growing fields for corn, wheat, etc. reduces wild land which is a bad idea. For example many medicines are made from plants found only in rainforests.

I also think overpopulation is a big factor here. The human population is exponentially growing, that's a danger to the planet.

  • Maybe the Green revolution drove use to far to fast...

  • Look at the other feed stocks for bio fuels. Corn is one of the most unproductive feed stocks. Example, Biodiesel from algae can make 1800 Gallons per Acre of fuel or more. Ethanol from corn only makes about 320 GPA. Ethanol from Sugar cane 570--700 GPA. Switch-grass 330--810 GPA.

  • This is the end of cheap food as we know it. Pray that I'm wrong on this.

  • There is far more bio-fuel potential in the non-edinle portion of the corn plant [most of the bio-mass]. The government [taxpayers] subsidy should be directed to bio-fuel schemes that only utilise the waste bio-mass, and certainly not used to create a false economic justification to squander the vital food portion of harvests.

  • Yup this might be the beginning of WW 3. Hope it will be solved. Only poor people will suffer.

By the way makes me sick when I saw the new domino pizza commercial in my country: watch?v=Ipefo4vZQSg

  • Amazing

WW 3 IS coming For real

  • You aint seen nothing yet....Payup or starve.
