Never saw Ducktales so I hope that Scrooge is going to get over his anti Nephew thing, in the comics he got along with them fine and it was a lot more fun. Although I suspect he will learn to appreciate them, as the story is heading that way.
I would have sworn it was the Junior Woodchuck MANUEL not Guidebook, but it looks like it is indeed Guidebook. Sigh.
@dudebob234 people are always saying children are impressionable,but while that might be true in YOUR generation, it isn't in the younger ones. there is no way children believe everything they see in live action, much less cartoons. if that were true, then kids would be running around believing that there was a race of tall blue aliens called Na'vi, and that the American gov't is currently wanting to invest in metal flying suits as weapons
um...I actually think that Avatar's set in the future, so it might come true, AND little kids probably do believe that, they just don't let on to your face.
@dudebob234 even so, if little children believe it they probably stop by, um, 5? For you information, children are growing up faster and faster, the liklihood of them not knowing the unreality of police not checking bags is slim, at best. as soon as the went to school, they'd learn from other lids that it is not possible.
And avatar, what is the liklihood of it coming true exactly as the movie portrayed it? unless james cameron is suddenly a prophet? lol
@dudebob234 who says I dont? I believe in all that stuff (not the way they have it in avatar, though) and honestly, I am not really into science fiction. More into fantasy. Which is how I view ducktales, A FANTASY, which should be treated as such and not be superglued to fact.
@dudebob234: This was made in the 90s, when people were able to trust others more. Ever since 9/11, people have gotten more paranoid due to terrorism & people rushing kids through childhood to the point that they lose faith in magic (and I don't just mean cheap parlor magic, but the magic that comes with being a kid & the magic created by greats like Walt Disney back when the Disney family actually had a say in what went on, Jim Henson in general, Warner Brothers' comedy, etc.) is NOT helping.

dudebob234 1 year ago
@dudebob234 it's a cartoon...not a documentary
firedjinndragon 1 year ago
@firedjinndragon
so?
it should be SOMEWHAT accurate to real life, AND it's portraying to impressionable kids that police are incompetent idiots.

I said COULD BECOME true. u never know.

@firedjinndragon
same about movie/book genres, but I'm just saying that the cops should be more careful if they don't want hi-security prisoners to escape.

@firedjinndragon
I didn't mean cheap parlor stuff either. I meant Harry Potter/Merlin/Gandalf type magic.
dudebob234 5 months ago
@firedjinndragon
and p.s. since u said that, this was made when kids grew up @ about age 18.
thus, it needs to be closer to real life.
p.p.s. it probably won't be EXACTLY like the movie, if it happens at all.
just extremely similar.

@dudebob234 by 18 you should be able to discern real from non real dont you thinbk

@dudebob234 p.s. and dont say children dont watch Avatar/ironman there were 3 years old in the theatre seats behind me both times
