    1. If you exercise and get fit you need more sleep not less.

    2. A massage lowers your blood pressure and makes you want to sleep.

    3. Eating less lowers your metabolic rate and energy level.

    4. Writing a journal is best before sleep not upon waking up.

    5. Better to learn to find ways to get a better job which reflects your passion.

    Teach what you know and embody; that's true service and passion.

  • I think true greatness comes from being good to yourself and having some peace in your life .  The bible says do all things in moderation. Moderate exercise will not make you "super fit", but it will keep you generally healthy. Eat enough to have good energy and not be hungry. Consider what God would do as much as possible before speaking or taking action. Also, the only way getting up early will work for most people long term is to go to bed early. Some schedules don't allow for that.

  • When I am pursuing "super fitness", I actually have to sleep more for my body to recover. So, the two hours a day working out and the extra two hours I need to sleep (not to mention managing that dull ache from body development ALL DAY LONG) actually made me less productive at work. I did not get promoted until I stopped working out so much and used that extra time to GO INTO WORK early!!! Same for diet, when I was cutting back on food I was too tired to be productive.

  • Wake-up early in the morning (before sunrise), thank God that you have another day to live, clean yourself and pray to your creator (together with your neighbours if possible to create a strong community bond), then do not get back to sleep, but do something useful to you or to others. These are daily practices of Islam!

  • I have this habit of staying up till 12 because I am naturally a "night owl". So I fall asleep and wake up at noon the next day and I miss out on a bunch of stuff during morning hours. I would love more help and tips on how to wake up! Plus I play soccer so I'm pretty fit and I'm 13 so I don't think I would be able to get a massage and also I don't have a job.   • @smakaWata If applied correctly this is by far the best method of actually getting out of bed: you need to program your mind to do the work for you, eliminating (as much as possible) any conscious effort. Take three days aside, on the night prior to the 1st day, dress as you would when going to bed, close the curtains, essentially construct the environment that you are presented with upon waking. Lie in bed and act as if you are falling asleep. Set your alarm for one minutes time

Do this a few times. What you are trying to do is automate the reaction to the stimulus of the alarm.   • I'm a paramedic, and I've worked nights for 2 solid years. Suddenly they want me on 7am to 3pm.

    I wish I could make my own damn hours sometimes.

    And my boss called me aside to tell me she's positively excited at the prospect of working with me.

    That felt weird, b/c the last guy who worked with me practically came right out and said he couldn't stand me.

    So I hope her statement is a foreshadow of positive things to come.

  • If you are working out intensely you are probably going to need more sleep for proper muscle recovery.

  • Just set your alarm clock for an hour before you have to wake up. Have caffeine pills by your bedside. When it goes off, take a pill, and go back to sleep. You'll wake up "naturally" bright eyed and bushy tailed! This also works with pseudophedrine, but you need to take it about 3 hours before you wake up! Your Welcome...

  • A very practical advise RS. I have been waking up at 6am but 5am would be more ideal. Exercise, get fit, consider reflexology massage, stop eating before I am full, pour mind out in a blog and be proud in whatever I do.
